I heard this on the news this morning. DH and I thought it was adorable that she was married to the voice of Mickey in real life.

So terribly sad. When I first heard the news, I was in absolute shock seeing as Russi was still very active and I had the feeling she was already in the midst of doing more voice work for Minnie Mouse and various characters in The Simpsons. I absolutely adored her voice, especially as Minnie, and she's been a very huge part of my childhood, having voiced many characters throughout the world of animation, including the Disney Afternoon shows, and it feels even more bittersweet that an episode of the new Mickey Mouse Flash cartoons had just came out days before the news broke. At least she's finally reunited with Wayne Allwine, which is the most comforting thought, but still, Disney is never going to be the same without her.
