Anyone got any ideas as to why on the CoP when grandpa says "Rover speak!" the dog barks then the lamp comes on? Anyone else wonder why? Is there something I'm missing in this scene

The loose bulb in the lamp suddenly jiggles and makes contact when Rover "speaks."

It's that grêat piece of technology, the Yapper!
Similar to the clapper, but it works with the dogs bark!
I guess the Imagineers were just a bit off in their version.
