VMK Withdrawal

Well, I am not sure exactly when I need to disconnect my computer to
accommodate the people painting all the rooms in my house, but I know
that I will be without a computer (and VMK until I can hook it back up).

It should be this week, so we'll see how long I'll be computer-less.
I'm going to miss VMK terribly!

You know it's bad when I'm hoping to find a way to do a temporary hook up
just to get the new Peter Pan hat this weekend.
I think I'll be back on by then, but I don't know for certain.

Oh, I loved all the horrified responses from everyone. "No VMK? Oh, the
humanity! " But your response really made me laugh, thanking
the gods that I didn't do a spittake on my monitor (yes, still at work!)

At least I still have the DIS.

But, have you ever thought of going to the local library and logging on? It's free at my hometown library, and it'll be a toss up of who boots you first.. the VMK time limit or the Library time limit!

I may just have to do that, worst case scenario. Maybe I'll kick kids off

Personally, I'd find a way to set up my computer under a drop cloth before I'd give up VMK! I can picture a ghost like lump in the middle of the room laughing up a storm and the painters gingerly working around it!

Love the haikus! LOL! It's official now. The computer is now in
separate components. Arg!

If the patchwork and paint takes as long as the other rooms (hello, can
we say 4th coat of paint today to cover??), I may be off of VMK for
much longer than I expected.

Thank goodness there is DIS.
