vmk warning over potential trade

I'm not sure what happened today but I was asking someone about a possible trade before hitting the trade button. I merely asked what she had and what she was interested in. Then I got a popup on vmk warning me about discussing personal information and being banned. ???? Has this happened to anyone else? I'm not sure what I did wrong but I definitely want to make sure it doesn't happen again.

It could just be a room wide alert and not really directed at you specifically

I have never heard of a "room wide alert". Does vmk actually do those? I think they usually just warn the person who says something bad. Once I was warned for discussing ages (early in my vmk days, before I knew better, LOL) with a girl and I got my first warning like that. I asked, and she did not get one even though she started it with the age asking ("Mommy! She started it!")

so yeah, I have never heard of a warning for the whole room...

Well I hope that was the case since all I asked her was what she was interested in trading for. I too know from past experience not to talk about ages, marital status, having children, etc.

I was standing on main street a few days ago talking with some friends and there were two kids on the other side of the street talking about My Space. Just as I was about to say something to them about talking about that site we all got a room warning about talking about and giving out personal information.

yes, me too. It also could have been a warning from a minutes before.

I got a popup just when I re-entered my room from getting disconnected. It talked about being banned and not to discuss where I lived. There were only two people in my room so I booted them.
