Yes you read it correct, I am fussing!!!! And if you don't like it don't read this!!!
Vmk Staff have lost all imagination!! What is wrong with them that they bring stuff out in stores only to later give it as prizes in quests or events? With all the new stuff out this month they could have given some of the new items as prizes in events instead of putting it in the stores for you to spend all your credits buying, only to later have a quest or event giving the item as prizes. Examples: skeleton chairs as quest prizes when skeleton chairs are still for sale, candy corn chairs as quest prize right after they were in the store for sale. Now the maze events with white ghosts and black crates. Boo to VMK Staff for not doing a better job. Make people spend their credits then later give the same items away. Like I said no imagination!!!!

I'm in the mood to be harsh! Tired of crashing, tired of lag, and tired of spending credits on stuff that two days later is free!!! And with the way they put items for sale and take away fast you have to buy what you want as soon as it comes out to make sure you get it. Like I did with the white ghosts, I really like them so I bought 50 before they disappeared, only to have them come out free in the maze. So yes, I am feeling harsh lol.

buy these things, there are quite a few players who don't have enough
credits to buy these things. I think the event is probably geared toward
those players who really would have bought them if they could.

But on the other hand, I only bought two white ghosts at first, thinking I

they were taken away before I had the chance. So I really was happy
that the prize yesterday were white ghosts. I was able to get more!

I didn't buy a lot of the black crates, either...and I'm glad I can get more
today.

You know, I saw a player complaining that if they gave out candy cauldrons,
they wouldn't be rare anymore. I've seen players say the same thing about
the green flip hat (as it returned), as well as the Princess Minnie hat.

It seems that no matter what VMK does, there will ALWAYS be players who
won't appreciate that someone WILL be happy about it.

I'm sorry that I'm getting on my soapbox, but these type of complaining posts
always bug the crap out of me.

All is good, everyone has an opinion. But my point is, bringing something out for sale on Friday then giving it out in a quest on Sunday just seems crazy to me. Instead of putting an item for sale they could have made that item a prize. If you cant buy a black crate in Ned's shop for 150 credits I suggest these players do a daily credit run. If it is geared towards the people who can't buy the stuff in stores, than why are the 2000 credit hats not maze prizes?

They did a good job on the alice ride event where they gave alice ride stuff away, then later it was for sale in the shops, this makes more sense then selling it then giving it away.

gshawen, that's exactly what I did. I bought a Black Crate everyday with my credit run earnings. I already have plenty of Black Crates.

So thanks VMK for the Black Crates, now I can play Maple Story all day instead of VMK. WOO HOO, YAY!

I'm not in the habit of questioning why VMK chooses what prizes to give in
their events ever since the Everest contest prize chair was given out
as a ride-a-thon prize less than two weeks later.

Yes, players can do a credit run or crash Ned boats. But when an item is
taken out of stores this quickly, it is nice that VMK offers it later for a prize.
I think furnishings were geared for repeat prizes because they are more
useful than clothing prizes. The only thing people can do with 20 hats is
trade them. Furniture is more versatile.

LOL I know, but I have had limited time playing the past few months and I would just like to be able to go do something without lag, or crash, or being disappointed that I spent a boat load of credits only to see the item free. LOL

When I saw the prize was white ghosts yesterday, I said VERY cool VMK Wondered if they took them out for sale bc they had planned this and said "we don't want them to spend too many credits on these we had better pull them quick now what we have decided to use them for the maze prize" OR they had pulled them for sale to keep them a little on the "hard to get" side and then saw all the people here saying how badly they wanted more and those who had not had a chance to buy many before they were gone. Either way, I thought it was a cool prize and I enjoyed getting them yesterday.

And just think, with all the lag right now if it was this really awesome prize you know we'd be complaining that we couldn't get them bc of the lag and the crashing! Right you are. Apparently what was rare stays rare for those that have been here forever. LOL But heaven forbid that something that has potential to be rare is killed out by giving free right after removing from store. Yes I am talking about ghosts. As I said I liked them and saw potential of them being a hot item in future, and when they left the store quickly I was thirlled I bought plenty. (could have used it to get items I don't have yet) But lets not make anything else rare lol, so free it is!!!

Vmk does not have to give free anything, so it is nice they do it at all. Some event prizes are better then others.
Have to put it in perspective, it is only a game, this is the second condensending post, first Hula's Pumpkin patch now this one.
Everyone has different reasons for playing the game, so maybe it is not a bad day for everyone, free is free!

I agree with that there are some who can't really afford everything. And I for one didn't buy alot of the black crates ( I only got about 5) and will be doing the maze event just so I can get those few more I have to have. LoL

But for those who don't like the prize for today.... Don't ride! It will make the line shorter for all those who want the Black Crate.

princess, I won't pretend to have any clue of what VMK does I just meant I know there were some happy people bc yesterday's prize was the ghost. I wasn't able to participate in the Alice Ride events so I didn't know how things were done, and I agree with what you are saying there, if they kept doing things THAT way then no one would be spending a lot of their credits on something that would be free a week later. I didn't spend a lot of credits on the ghosts, I am very "cheap" on vmk just like I am in real life so I know I have a totally different opinion on the free ghosts for that reason

I guess they can't make everybody happy but everybody is intitled to share their opinion, right? It's one of the reasons we are all here reading these threads
