VMK replies to my complaint about last event

I thought I wrote a nice complaint message about the last event. I received a reply today (almost a full week later) in which they basically blew me off. Below is my message and their reply.

I am not happy about my experience during the Halloween event. I would have loved to have been able to make it to the Castle Forecourt to show off my costume, but spent over 3 hours in lines to get into the VMK Prize Machine room only to lose connection/crash 5 times. Below are the details to the best of my recall:
Character - CL_OutOfMyMind
Date/Time - 10/30/05 ~12:30-3:30pm
First attempt - started at 601 in queue ahead of me, lost connection when I was 11th in queue.
Second attempt - started at 600+ in queue ahead of me, lost connection when I was in room about 6th from the generator.
Third attempt - crashed on trying to access the room (queue).
Fourth attempt - started at 600+ in queue ahead of me, lost connection when I was 423rd in queue.
Fifth attempt - started at 600+ in queue ahead of me, lost connection when I was 11th in queue.
At this point I had other things to attend to and never got another chance to log on to VMK again.

As I spent a LOT of time trying to get to the generator and failed due to VMK problems every time, I feel that a reward of some kind would be appropriate. All the prizes I saw given out the one time I actually got in the room were Candy Cauldrons and getting one of these would make me a little less unhappy. If you can't reward me a cauldron, a Leota pin would be a good substitute.

Well that even makes me more unhappy. They could have looked at my characters inventory to have seen that I have since got both the items requested. However, there is no excuse to have blown off a lot of others that aren't as fortunate. It would have taken them about the same amount of time to just give everyone something, as it did to send the reply.
 
Not only did I get the same reply but I got it three times... and nothing in my inventory or my kids which is the reason I was writing in the first place

I got the same reply too (and nothing in my inventory). I sent an email back to their reply saying that I was not going to attend their next event. But the reply I got from that was that they "closed" my message and that if I wanted to reply to them I would have to send another message through the Help Tool. Nice, huh? They apparently have no concept of customer service and I am not a happy camper. :mad:

we were without power down here in South Florida during the event, so I'm kinda of mixed on what would I have rather done, climb trees for two days to safeguard the neighbors, or crash all day after 700+ peep line.... :cool1:

Wow...lots of unhappy ppl..I actually sent a letter thanking VMK for the best celebration they have had yet! I also told them i didn't win anything...lol but anywho..i guess you have to take the good with the bad :)

LOL for the maze event we also had scetchy power and when we did just a dial up- no chance to get on at all- based on the reaction after that one- I feel that cutting and hauling trees to the front yard was much more practical use of my time

I got the same reply to my email on Sunday. I didn't ask for anything though. I told them I had been really looking forward to the Maze event and never got in the room to play. So that when the Halloween Event came along, I felt sure that the VMK designers must have learned a lot from the Maze Event Fiasco on how to run an event and would apply it to the Halloween Event.

I said it sadden me to know that the VMK designers and staff don't care enough about the players to even try to make Events User-Friendly, as in trying to figure out why the same people keep losing connection while some of the other players get in every time and can play the event every time. (yeah, I was getting pissy near the end)


I didn't say this part: but I swear I think they are out to get me. "Hey, there's cat.herder again thinking that we are going to let her play this time, Quick kick her offline"
 
I got the same message a few weeks ago and was replied from VMK_april. lol They seriously don't even care what we send them in emails. Always a generated message. :rolleyes:
