I don't really see the point of this event. No prizes. Are they even recording the votes? I like how they are giving out hats. Maybe VMK thinks this will be an easy "event" that will cause no dissapointments.

Well, HOST_Phinny said that results will be in the newsletter. So I do think they are counting them. More than likely by how many of the coresponding shirts are sold.

I have my own thoughts about the "elections".
For the games: they may want to know what type of games most people prefer. So that maybe they'll do more of that type of game in the future.

For when/if people are going to a park: they want to know if the "game" as an advertisement is working to bring people into the parks.

And with the NPC characters: They may be trying to figure out if they want to keep the ones they have or get rid of one or two and replace them with new ones in the new lands. Just think, there are none so far in Tomorrowland. Only one in Main Street, and TWO each in both Adventureland and Fantasyland. And they will be opening Frontierland soon. But....that's my own theory.

Otherwise, it is a non-hated event. But people have become used to expecting a prize for participating in them. And now they are disappointed once again.

I still hate this event.. theres nothing to do! All we can do is buy stinkin' hat and shirts we like already have! It's hated by me! Sometimes you can really get work done during waiting in long lines on VMK!

I agree! Why buy a shirt! What cant we mail the adminisrator and tell him what choice we want! I am really mad. Now that you mention it. Oh well. Who likes this sort of code? i do.

I think this has a lot to do with what they are doing- I'd love to see more NPC- always can use more credits lol- and they could even add another 5 NPC and make them random which 5 work at a time or something... so you'd have to go back more often to click to see if they were on...

Games for more games- if so I do hope they come up with some games that are challenging encough to keep interest yet still give you some credits- I think I avoid fireworks and pirates so much because I'm not yet good enough to earn high enough points and so the time I spend playing the games just isn't worth it for me- when I can crash a boat in just over a minute and be garunteed 20 credits lol- And then I look at my dd who is quite young and although she doesn't do great on Jungle Cruise she can play it and she also spends a lot of time mixing new songs- so maybe they will keep the young players in mind too...

The when we are going -is 100% a thing to see if the advertisement is working. They want to know if playing VMK makes you want to go more often- if having staff provide those tours and give out the cards is really bringing more people in... And from what I have read here I think it does- people say more and more how excited they are to go to WDW or DL to get the quest stuff... And I have to admit that dh and I are going in January- we also may go in March but what may hold is from going then is that if we are using the same tickets we can't repeat the tours/quests at that time- lol so we may not go then and hold out for later in the year when we can do that again and bring our kids too.

About the event- Frankly I'd been happy if they had taken down the Halloween decorations this weekend as an addition- lol- I think the staff need a break from events and I think that the size of VMK has gotten too big for them to keep doing same old same old- so this is a way for them to stretch out the old type events while still doing something.

I had a blast yesterday encouraging people to vote in Central Plaza and then supporting my canidate in the dungeon lol- and last night my lovely husband even booted me from his room when we discussed other elections and I made some comment about him always voting for the wrong person lol it was okay the impromptu party just moved to one of my rooms at the time.

I really think sometimes the events are what you put into them- waiting in a line for hours and hours is not fun for anyone- but things like the mule ball we did was great and I'm looking forward to the next one in a few more weeks. I think people have come to expect to much- even if we all played the game we woudn't have all won an inferno- but I get the feeling that lots of people who participated but didn't get to play because of lines or crashing feel that they deserved it. And I think this event is in response to many of our complaints- I know I didn't expect "Stuff" in my or my children's inventory to appear, I didn't expect them to sweep through and give everyone who logged in on those days inferno or anything else for that matter- But I was glad to see a non-stressed event for once- one I felt perfectly fine logging my dd in and letting her select her favorites to vote and feel like "she did her part"

I think this event is one where noone expected to really get anything- yeah we all have our constructive criticism: did it really take a brain surgeon or computer engineer for that matter to know to label the shirts what the votes meant?, Could they have come ups with some new shirt for the purpose of the election? Could they make that hat any more ugly? lol- but in general we don't have the many many people frustrated and upset and we aren't all wasting another weekend crashing over and over again.
