VMK Pirate pins/cards are sold out

They most certainly did. My friend RiceOwl ordered his on the 12th, and I ordered mine on the 13th.

I placed my order 11/14 ... She said she would waive the shipping fees ($26) to make up for the BO...

Well, I just got my pins. And they did ship them to me at $140 (no shipping) due to the wait. So that's nice.

I received all 10 boxes I ordered. I was very lucky... I got two complete sets. Two of each pin/card set. How awesome is that?!? I really like the Treasure Chair and Bow/Stern Ship Chairs. The Ship Chairs are especially pretty!

It would all be perfect, but for one bad code. On on of the Ship's Stern Chair cards I put in the code and got a Crow's Nest Barstool and Pole set. So instead of the nifty New Release Chair (to go with my other Ship's Bow Chair), I get stuck with a crappy re-released Pirate Quest item. And it's one of my least favorite.

Ah well...

I sent an e-mail to VMK, we'll see if it get's resolved. I'm sure all will work out.

I called the week before the pins were available at WDW. They told me that I could not place an order until the release date. I would guess that the policy is the same at DLR, but I have not called them since I'm planning on being there Friday morning.

My mom ordered mine the first day they were sold and was told they were on backorder but would come in sometime during December. Lucky for me, the CM was right and they came today! Even better, my mom ordered 6 boxes instead of the 4 I asked her to.

Now, some of y'all may remember that I said while I wanted the VMK prizes, the main thing I wanted was the actual Donald with the bird hat pin, being the Donald lover that I am. He's my (animated) hero, folks! The very last pin I pulled out of the very LAST box was Donald. Talk about cutting it close! For the curious, I received:

2 Stitch real life pins / 2 Firewalls
2 Minnie real life pins / 2 pirate couches
2 Mickey Mouse gold treasure chair real life pins/ VMK chairs (don't remember the exact name)
1 Mickey Mouse in Pirate outfit real life pin / 1 Pirate Prison room
1 Goofy real life pin / 1 pirate stool and stick
1 Chip real life pin / 1 ship chair (forget which one)
1 Dale real life pin / 1 ship chair (again, forget which one)
1 Donald Duck real life pin / 1 bird hat
1 Pirate Medallion real life pin / 1 Pirate VMK pin

So all I'm missing is Pluto/the treasure rug. Not bad at all! Haven't entered the codes yet but will do so tomorrow. Hope you all get yours soon as well! They're really beautiful pins.
