VMK Movie Theater stuff!

One person kept telling everyone to buy seven copies of The Little Mermaid. Do Not Do This, you'll just be wasting your money. You cannot enter more than one code from the same movie, even if the code is different. The site says so and I tried it myself (one code from a friend, one was my own), it will not work.

Good to know, I was going to get the codes from the rest of my family lol. Oh well with the movies currently listed I figure I will buy enough to have it by the end of the year

I'm sure a few of you noticed the Disney Reward rooms with the horribly long lines. So what was all the buzz about? THIS! (give it a minute to load)

Disney apparently liked the response it got from doing the Herbie codes so now they're doing it with all movies. All the information (and 100 free points!) can be found at the Disney Movie Rewards site.

It would be awesome if we could put any poster in the holder. Just put the holder over the poster and it looks like the frame or something. That would be sweet.

Those rooms belong to Staff, and staff doesn't have to put in codes to get them. The rooms are just there to show the stuff off. Like when staff got the High School Musical room first and showed it off before the park quest was released.

What is the list of movies? I already got Mermaid and got 100 points.

There's a list of movies here, Mermaid is the only one that has been released so far, but I think The Fox and the Hound comes out tomorrow and I think Cars comes out the beginning of next month.

I felt kind of bad because eventually everyone in the room was acting like it was a rip off. Apparently they didn't know that you get movies too, and that this new furniture is really just a bonus. Unfourtunalty, I couldn't say anything because vmk wont' let me.... but thats another story.

The rooms belong to staff members/testers. They can put whatever they want into their rooms.

There is currenly only one movie available that qualifies for reward points. Movies that will count in the future are listed here.

No one can get the codes for these items yet, they require 700 movie credits and the one movie out only gives you 100 credits.

VMK/Disney are not twisting your arms. You don't have to buy the movies if you don't want to.

It is an incentive to get players to buy them, but it's more of a perk for those of us who already buy them and play VMK as well.

I agree. I had The Little Mermaid pre-ordered way before this info came out and this even when I already owned the original DVD with no special features. Going through the list of movies eligible I came up with 6 I would have been buying myself or asking for a gift anyway (the extra 100 points of course will be from the survey). As a bonus to me for purchasing DVD's that I would have been getting anyway I should have this cool bonus by the end of the year. Finally a good reward for keeping my DVD collection up to date lol
