VMK Insiders Tour at WDW...

The way they did it, by just cutting it off like that, really messed with a lot of people who have planned vacations around going to the parks just to get the cards like I did. I did luck out and got most of the cards anyway, but I had really looked forward to the tour all summer and fall.

Amen sister! I had my kids all excited about the tour and they couldn't wait. Then we get there and are told that people would rather just get the cards...

I was happy to get the cards but we planned our activities and meal res. around tour times. It was an inconvenience that as any one knows is impossible to change. Once you have a res you keep it, or you don't get to sit down to eat.

We were also dissappointed that the cards that were handed out on tour for the "special" questions were no longer available.

That being said, my vacation was a blast. We did get most of the cards and my kids are happy with what they got. All's well that ends well.

Are they giving out the VIP card for the tour?

What happens if you show up with a VIP card and you are supposed to get a tour with it aren't you?

My little sister is in WDW with friends and I over night mailed her 4 sets of quests with the Tomorrowland and instructions. She is turning them in tomorrow for me.

I was supposed to be there but I had to delay a week so I am arriving the day after she arrives.

She doesn't play but she is getting me the cards. I will call her tomorrow and see what she can tell me.

If you show up with the VIP card you get the gold set instead. They aren't having the tours at all, so they can't offer you one.

The tours have been discontinued. In Disney terms this is: Subject to change without notice.

Depends on the CM. One CM told me you get a pack of cards with turning in your VIP card. Another CM told me as of Jan 3rd they stopped giving out the packs. I haven't been back to MK since Jan 3rd, so I don't have anything more recent than that.

...or at least some of them! The hardest ones to win on the tour (certain cards that were only given out for answering Jungle Cruise questions) are not given out. I think some of them are also NOT sold in game.

When we were there (WDW) over Christmas the rarer or harder cards to get were not given out. Eric at VMK Central told us they were discontinued with the tour as well as the vmk insider card.

I am not doubting that you were told that, but I am doubting the accuracy. Your first top 10 score in the Pirates game still gives you a PDF for Invisibility that is said to expire on September 30, 2006. Since I have 5 of these PDFs I hope they still have the cards.

In somewhat related news: When I was in WDW's VMK Central tonight they were still accepting (and actually giving out copies of) the now expired Tomorrowland Quest. Jacques (the most knowledgable VMK person there) said he had not heard anything about discontinuing the Tomorrowland Quest.

There was 2 of us and we each got one of everything, but the Haunted Mansion stuff, the frontierland pin, the 500 VMK credits and the VIP Card. We didn't get any of those.

Some things we got more then one. I got 5 tent rooms, 3 of the jungle lifestyle cards,3 Hippo rugs, 3 sarfi rugs and 4 train teleportions. We were there on the Dec. 23, 2006

Arg! I wish Jacques had been there! I don't know if they don't have the cards or if they just weren't handing them out. Well, to all that are going, keep us posted.

Jacques (the most knowledgable VMK person there) said he had not heard anything about discontinuing the Tomorrowland Quest.

He is the nicest person there. He does know everything. We met him in June and he was shocked about how much we knew about the game, but we learned so much more from him.
