VMK In Park Tour maybe no more?

There is a rumor reported on wdwmagic that mentioned that after this year they may do away with the in the park tour!

Thank goodness I'm heading to WDW in several days so I don't miss out.

Well, I heard that they won't be doing the tours during the Christmas season because they need the tour guides for other things. No one has said that the tours won't be coming back on January 1 though.

(I sure hope the tours are still running when I go to WDW at the end of January)

No more Tours? But, it was such a fantastic way to get ME into the park! LOL

Maybe VMK isn't paying off like they hoped... lets all hope its hear-say.... *crosses fingers*

What when how. Are my first thoughts. Second thought what is considered the Christmas season. I was planning on taking the tour on November 28th. Please tell me that I can stil go on tour. That is the only reason I made the shirts. And what about the tour questions that you can win extra prizes for. This is not good news. Hope it is not true.

Well, I heard (I will post this now, and then go check my info and edit) that there would be no tours during the busy part of Christmas, which would be from about the 15th through to New Years Day.

OK, checked my source, and it appears the "closed over Christmas" rumour only applies to DLR. The rumour specifically only says a week or two. (WDW may or may not follow suit)

I'm hoping your right -for my sake- we have a trip planned in January (11th-14th) and I'd hate to miss out on getting a tour...

I do understand them not doing the tours during that time- but also have to question why they don't do something at that time for the people who do show up- I mean not everyone can go whenever they want and for many that may be their only trip-

I also think this rumor is coming out of the survey on the front page of vmk right now- that the choices of what you want for a quest prize being a variety of options from the tour, to cards, to vip seating for fireworks to a tshirt and even a coke (yeah right)

I'm hoping to do the 12:30pm tour on Dec. 13th. Hopefully it hasn't stopped by then.
