No, that quest will probably not be ending for sometime since it just started.
All this thread is stating is that the expiration dates on the old Series 1 quests is Sept 30 2006.
hopefully and what Lisa and I have our fingers crossed about is the release of new quests before Sept 23rd since I leave the morning of the 24th and she arrives the next week.

So the Animal Kingdom and High School Musical room codes will still be good for another year? I'm waiting to trade them until they are a bit more valuable.
My Aunt is arriving on the 30th. She was going to get the quest for me. Will they give the cards on that day? And will she have to call me with the codes to put in?
Talked to a manager @ VMK Central today -- BUT that being said, take this info as you would take ANY info we get from VMK central
The date is just that, a date that's on there. As far as they know they will still be handing out cards on 9/30/06 for the series 1 quests -- they have been provided with no other information. The codes should still be useable after the 9/30 expiration date.
Also, at this point, they don't know anything about new quests but they are all hoping for new ones soon.
Well, more than likely there wont be any new quests released for awhile, at least not until the series 3 cards come out. There's only one card left to be released in series 2 and I doubt they'd have a whole quest for 1 card.
Last time we did the quest, we didn't get the Fantasyland Castle Retro Pin, it was a Fantasyland quest pin. had the vmk insignia instead of the castle. it's also what's shown in the newer quest pamphlets. Still get the briarstone and pink heartless hamper though.

I did a couple of the Fantasyland quests (can you say AP renewal time) in the middle on August and got both of the above mentioned pins. When I did the quest back in May they were out of the Fantasyland Castle Retro Pin, so just gave the new one.
When I was in WDW in January they were out of a lot of VMK cards and I got 3 or 4 of the Fantasyland Castle Retro Pins with each quest we turned it. My sister was there a few days before I was with friends and she did too. I have more of those cards than anything else!
No one wants them in trade since they are for sale and you can't even sell the pins back.
i don't think you'll be able to get them after that not becuase of the expiration, but becuase i heard from several people in vmk central, and several cast members that its is a limited edition quest. but they might be wrong, so you could always hope...
