My little sister; my OWN LITTLE SISTER was in a "kinder garden" room and I followed her in to ask her a question. When I saw her going around "kids" yelling "mummy pick me up, I'm scared of strangers," etc. I was shocked! I can't resize a picture of my screenshot, or I'd show the room. Does this baby stuff bother anyone else as it does to me? I mean, little kids need to grow up not stay babies forever! Geez... Post opinions here...

It is the ripple effect.You drop one thing in the water(or in this case,VMK)and it spreads.Some people started this and other people got involved.

LOL, my daughter likes playing "house" too. I have told her its ok to play this way with her friends but not out in "public" rooms. I think it is a healthy way for little kids to learn to see things from a different perspective. It builds empathy and may even help them understand why their parents act the way they do, lol.

I say, the more imagination and pixie dust used, the better!

Kids come into my room looking for puppies. Now that has been weird to me!! I always say sorry no puppies here, only giraffes, zebras and people. (Its a safarri room)

well..... im opposed to the bay be and taken thing but........... me and my friend on vmk mermaidviolet LOVE joking around and so we decided to do the bay be thing but be really bad and get some kicks out of it and thats what happen! these ppl get desperate!!! we ran away and the guy kept sending us messages saying plz come back plz plz plz!!! so we stoped cause it got boring, but i still laugh at the pathetic ppl who do that stuff

oh my yes i agree this is so annoying!!!

i helped my brother make an account tonight (hes 10) and i felt so bad the game started him out in the park gates and this grl came right up to him and goes "are you taken?" and he didnt understand so i told him to say "no sorry i dont do taken" and she goes "ok. will you be mine?" so i got on... "no sorry i dont do taken"
her:"forget you then!"
me: .."ok?"
her: "u as!"

now i realize i must have egged this on or something but geez people get a life. he was all upset that his first 'friend' treated him that way he didnt want to play anymore cos he thought all the people would do that! it took me a good hour of showing him my game that only certain people do it. it made me sad to see that something Disney (something for kids!!) made such a negative impact so fast! now mind u my brother might be too sensitive to the issue i suppose but geez... lol i cant stand when people come up to me and tell me im cute and ask me if im taken! and im scared to say anything for getting reported and VMK is ban happy so i dont dare! i told him to put hes taken and do not trade in his sig... anything else i can throw on there to make it a little more happy for him? lol

I have a sister to. and when she came on this boy came up to her and said to you want to be mine? she said hi cause she doesn't know how to read. and he said i will take that as a yes. and he kept following her and harrassing her and she couldn't understand wat he was saying. so i put him on ignore yet he kept following her. so i deleted him. and i am very angry with that boy and she still doesn't know wat he said to her. i feel so mad and angry at this whole taken and bay bes thing. from, - angry and mad - lol. I did do taken and the bay be thing when i first started but i got so annoyed with it so i quit. then every where i go ppl ask me ARE YOU TAKEN? and all i say is against it. months go bye lots of asks lots of turndowns. then a girl said u are my boy ( bc boy in vmk ) and then goes around telling ppl that i am her boy. then she starts asking me for stuff! so i go NO! then i made up a game and she would always say the secret word and then ppl would do wat she said. next day BAM! i sent her message saying i not ur boy anymore and good bye for good! andi deleted her. lol
thats all that recently happen to me with that stuff.

She was Gabie_Pink. When i first started i got so hooked that that was all i would do. when i joined the dis i learned how annoying it was and i turned against it. I would like to thnk the dis for teaching me the right thing. if i didnt know any better who knows wat could happen to me?

I agree. But the funny thing is that when I first saw virtual characters look like babys I thought it was like, a spell or something lol. But then I saw the same clothes in the shop, and wanted to try out being one. Then after that annoyness I stopped. Then I tried to be a mom. Sadly that was to MORE annoying AND stressful...But still, other people may like it and that is entitled to their opinion. We shouldn't ban it because WE just dont like it. It's not fair to others. JUst wanted to say that .

I do agree with this....to an extent. I agree that VMK is for kids..and what do kids do...in real life...they play house and stuff SOO why is this different. ? I do believe that they should be told to play in certain areas ....hmm well maybe not that told...lol just kinda told not to go to other rooms that do not do the baby and daddy and mommy thing and act that way One of my friends ....is younger then me...she found me and asked me if I wanted to meet her "family" .....I knew what she was talking about....so to be the nice friend I am...I said sure why not.. I went to the room and met her two kids...LOL and said hi and glad to meet you. They came out of baby talk and said hi bashful and then went back to their baby/kitten talk (they were half cat) LOL So i said bye to my friend and went back to pirates I don't really think its a BAD thing...I just think we need to remember that VMK is not only for the older crowd but for the younger as well. Imagination is a good thing.....at least vmk allows them to have an imagination...they could be sitting on the playstation or something and really not using the imagination. HMM I am rambling now...I guess I just get kinda annoyed with all the threads about the taken and baby issues....so thought I would give my two cents Anyways, have a good weekend and happy easter

Although I participated in being a "Mummy" once I hated the fact that when I was playing a game or w/e my "bay be/bay bes" would just run in and be like, "Mummy, Mummy! Ah strangers! Help! BLAH BLAH BLAH!" Its like grow up! So I kind of ditched the whole family thing since well it was real weird and even a bit scary lol anyway I still think like ew they are a family on vmk what's up wit dat? lol although I did take part in it I really regret it for its like embarssing almost especially like have a "boy" on vmk like the whole taken game. Its really stupid for its a virtual character. Like marrying mickey mouse for that matter lol although I <3 mickey hahaa! Anyway if you ask me it is a stupid game.

Yea your right, instead of just randomly people doing it, they should have like an area of vmk where you do it yet that could be a little weird too..but ya never know I guess nothing anybody can do about it and I dont care too much about other people doing it just I dont like it too much and dont like it when somebody asks me to be their "mummy" since its like ... I still live with my mom! Hahaa lol! SO anyway yea ..
