VKL Vouchers @ Alfredos in Epcot (kids)

I bought a few VKL vouchers for our upcoming trip & I was wondering about what the kids are able to order with the voucher at Alfredos?

Do they also get an appetizer & dessert? If so, do they have a special kids appetizer & dessert?

If anyone has had any experience with Alfredos & kids vouchers, I'd appreciate your input.

I'm wondering if I should just save it for Rainforest Cafe?? What time does Rainforest close??

I haven't had experience using the child's vouchers at Alfredos, but I can tell you that the Animal Kingdom's Rainforest Cafe is open until at least 8 pm...but I'm not sure what time they stop seating. Our party got there about 5 pm and we saw people being seated as we were leaving about an hour and a half later.

I was at AK RFC one evening and didn't leave until 7:30 and there were still people in the restaurant.

...I should add that this was in the middle of May and the first week in June. The AK was open until 6pm and 7pm respectively on those occasions. In slow season AK is only open until 5pm and the RFC times could well be affected by what time the park closes.

We have used them at "Alfredos" with no problem for our kiddos... As you can see in picture below I have 5 little tikes We used 1 adult voucher and 3 children vouchers and had more than enough food. We were allowed to order appetizers and desserts off the adult menu. We choose the sampler dessets for all of us to share. We were allowed one per voucher. We really enjoyed our visit to Alfredos and although we love RFC in Animal Kingdom, we enjoyed going somewhere different. We go to RFC every trip and add on a few new restaurants as well... Have fun planning...

Thanks MOM POPPINS for giving me the info on Alfredos. My daughter loves Fettuccini Alfredo and this is her favorite restuarant, but this will be our first time using VKL vouchers. If they didn't allow the children to get an appetizer & dessert, it just seemed like a waste of a voucher.

Also, if you don't mind me asking MOM POPPINS, what is on the dessert sampler? We never ordered dessert in the past and it sounds like it could be good!

I will be traveling alone with my 2 kids & we will be using 1 adult & 1 child VKL voucher @ Alfredos.

MamaKate ~ They have a dessert sampler that has a smaller piece of all the desserts on one plate. You will see the desserts on a table as soon as you enter the restaurant on the right. They have the sampler there as well as others on display. We enjoyed our lunch here and felt like we got "our money's worth" on our vouchers.

Is there an extra charge for sharing or did you order other food (and just pay)?

I thought it had to be one voucher or order per person at a sit down place?

You can share vouchers at any restaurants. I have never had a problem sharing vouchers and we have tried lots of restaurants... There is no extra charge for sharing. My DH and I always share a voucher!

You can also share at any sit down restaurant - with or without the vouchers. DH and I shared a meal at Sci Fi because we weren't so hungry! No problem. They even split the food and put it on two plates back in the kitchen.

How late did you use the vouchers at either place. I hesitate to buy more because I dont expect to eat large amounts of food in the middle of the day.

I would like to hear from personal experience how late the VKL vounchers were used and where.
