We are planning this trip with 2 gradsons, 11 and 13 who are very active. Are there enough activities to keep them interested on this trip or will they become bored with the sightseeing, Thanks, PJR

There is a lot of walking on this trip...and I mean a lot of walking. I think between all the sights to see and the guides attention to the kids, they will have a blast. Those ages seem to be a pretty good age as well, by that I mean that there are usually other kids around those ages on the trips. In Tuscany, the kids will enjoy the pool area, which is where most of your downtime is. They will probably have a blast with the pasta making there too.

Italy is meant to be casual... lots of walking is not a good thing!

The only way to get around in Venice is by foot, unless you want to take a boat everywhere, but you still have to walk. I highly recommend Venice (don't let the walking discourage you). It was one of the most unique places I've ever been to. Unless you have a lot of patience and money to get around Rome by car or taxi, you'll have to walk there too. We did a lot of walking, but it was worth it.
