Viva Las Vegas

DH asked me to go to a conference to Vegas with him, I would just be there for the weekend, fly in Friday with him, stay through Sunday, fly home Monday AM by myself. Do you think it is worthwhile for a weekend trip? Neither of us are gamblers, I'm bereft after $20. We would do Hoover Dam and a show or two. Only thing is, I hate to fly by myself, I get a lot of anxiety and it's about a 4 hour flight to Philly. Usually 2 hours to Florida is my limit.

I am constantly trying to get my DH to come to conferences with me (I set up conferences for my job) and he has yet to come. So I would say yes go! Have a good time...and take a nap on the plane

Sure, why not? Hoover Dam is great and also try to see The Blue Man Group.

I never had any desire to go to Las Vegas. Friends of ours got married in LV over Columbus Day weekend, and we were there Friday through Tuesday. Had a BALL!!! I had never gambled before, and neither had DH. We came home about $600 richer, all on .25 cent slots.

Plus just wandering through the different resorts/casinos is amazing. I posted a mega long trip report when we got back, I can un-earth it, if you would like to take a look.

Go! Vegas is a 4-day type vacation anyways. You'll have a ball even (especially) you're by yourself. You can just shop, eat, watch, gamble, swim....whatever!

I would go in a heartbeat. I went to Vegas last year and LOVED it!!!!

I go to Vegas at least once a year since BF's dad lives there, and I still haven't done everything I want to do! Just walking down the Strip at night is an adventure, there are all kinds of free mini-shows that you can see right from the sidewalk, or in the casino shopping areas. BF and I are not big gamblers either, so we hardly spend any time gambling. We love the shopping in Vegas too, but almost anywhere is a bargain compared to most things in Hawaii!

DH was at Anaheim for a conference and I flew there for a day for DisneyLand.

It was awesome.

Alone time for us is hard to come by.
