Modesty prevents me from telling you who boarded the first ship sailing for Never Never Land.

OMG!

So, Touring Plans had today listed as an "8". For those of you who were there today, or on a day with similar crowds, was that an "8"? And if so, how much worse would a "10" look?

Getting scared about our upcoming "Spring Break" trip....

Wow, I have NEVER seen it this crowded in the park at this hour! We will be arriving this Sunday...I hope people are back in school !

How miserable!! Was this a shot of the crowd waiting for rope drop? That's just insane! Does Touring Plans say it's supposed to get worse this coming week going into the next?

I think this was before rope drop, b/c the park was scheduled to open at 9:00 a.m. today (this was at 8:45 a.m.). Still...OMG *dies*. :sad2:

Yes, we had house guests the last few days who said it was crazy crowded on Monday, but not so bad yesterday. Looks like it was back to crazy today. (House guests headed home this morning.)

That looks worse than when we were there Christmas. I don't recall it looking like that except at fireworks. I don't see anyone happy to be there.

we are not on spring break yet but my kids are off on Friday 3-19-11. We planning to head to the parks but after seeing that photo and hearing how busy it is I may reconsider..

We don't get spring break until April 22nd....

Yikes!!!

I had a picture like this when I took 4 teenage girls last summer. They knew I had a (Dis)plan and use RideMax and when they saw the crowd pictures, they were all about The Plan!!!!! It was my "encouragement" to get them going early in the morning. I had a shot of New Orleans early am and uncrowded then another pic of later in the day when the bottleneck was swamped!

I am somewhere in that picture. I was the first one at bag check this morning - 7 AM - and just got back into the room. I planned to shut down the Magic Kingdom - no nap - but hit the wall after World of Color.

It was madness.

Would THIS be the time for me to explain again why DH and I just don't --- ah, nevermind. :goodvibes

I DO know that at some point today Disneyland extended their hours today until midnight.

Welcome to Spring Break time at DLR!

P.S. Great pic!

But did you have fun??????

wait,, that photo.. was that before rope drop? it sure looks like it, and the clock says a little before 9am, so was it rope drop? because if it was, then that explains the fact that the whole continent of california is on main st!

Yes, definitely before rope drop. For whatever reason, Disney did not open the Park until 9 AM on Wednesday during what what was sure to be a busy Spring Break week - with no Magic Morning, so thousands of people were trying to get in a the same time.

ok that make sense why it looks like all of california is on main st., but that is nothing, i saw worse, when they did the free birthday ticket thing, yep the day it started..holy smokes that was the wrong day to go!

Any estimates at the number of people? I have friends there this week. I told them to go in February......:confused3

My DD11 and I went for a few hours after school yesterday. While it was crowded I had no idea it was that packed first thing in the a.m.

We arrived at about 3 p.m. and there wasn't a line getting into the parking lot. In fact, we lucked out and someone we knew was at the parking booth and he gave us Pinocchio parking. There were hardly any cars/busses in the P parking lot. Didn't have to wait for the tram. Looked good.

Went to DCA first (we were on a mission) Line getting in was fine. After being unsuccessful on our mission, we went to check out getting a FP for ToT. No FP available, wait time was 105 minutes! Yikes! Decided to cross over to DL and look for a few our our favorite PP photogs. Got a few PP taken and then went on Indy using SR line. It was great! Only one small wheelchair group in front of us. Probably took all of 10 min. to get on the ride. DD and I rode the same car, in separate rows. Turns out it was a good thing since (for the 3rd time in my life) Indy broke down while we were on it. We had jsut gotten past the big ball and were making the turn when everything stopped. Lights came on, CMs came out, and eventually the ride started back up again. We had a nice conversation with a group of 10 from England and Scotland on the ride with us. Maybe stuck 15-20 min. As we pulled up to unload they asked if we wanted to go again, so yes, we did!:goodvibes

By now it was about 5 p.m. and there was no way I wanted to get on the 91 freeway, heading East at 5 p.m. I told DD we were going to have to do stuff for about an hour or so before we left. We dawdled in the stores on Main St. and then headed over to DCA to do Animation Academy.

Oh no, after I entered DCA I turned to see DD11 in tears. Some *(#@*J had ran into the back of her ankle hard enough to leave a mark. So we made our way to the closest bench (in Guest Services) and waited a few minutes. By now we had missed the 5:30 Academy so once her ankle felt better we went to AA. We got there about 20 min. before it started and sat against the wall. It was nice break. We did Daisy at the 6 show and then headed out. The line for the parking lot tram wasn't too bad but DCA was really getting crowded.

I did check the wait board and most rides weren't too bad. Though before Indy broke it was 70 minutes.

While at DL they did announce that DL would be staying open until midnight vs. 11 p.m. as listed on the Times Guide.

We were also there on Sunday. It was much worse. :crowded:
