We're off to Vistana Villages in November...a 2-room condo. Would love to hear your experiences here, good, bad or indifferent! (Not the Vistana Resort...the newer, Vistana Villages.)
Heard the condo units can be small....any experience with that in a 2-bedroom? We've stayed twice at Silver Lakes and absolutely loved virtually everything about the place!
Thank you!

hello,

We stayed there last year it was great! The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the staff was very helpful. We stayed in a 1 bedroom deluxe. Next time we will stay in a 2 bedroom. I did see a 2 bedroom and thought they were absolutely beautiful. I did not think they were small by any means. They had a nice big kitchen and a good size living room, the 2 bedrooms were also a nice size, especially the master suite. Every room has a nice screend in balcony.

If you would like to see pics of the resort go to www.dollar.com and click on hotels, then click on Orlando ( you do not need to enter your dates)and scroll down till you find Vistana Villages (I think it was on the 3rd page). The rooms are just as pictured.
Just down the road by the new Hilton Vacation Club about 1/2 mile is a nice Publix grocery store that was very handy.

If you have any more ? I will try and answer them.

They are the most beautiful condos I have seen so far. They are not huge, but they have plenty of room. The pool area is beautiful also.

The 2 bedroom is very nice and really as much space as we needed (4 of us)

The only negative was the walls are very thin and we had partying people in the room next door

We stayed in a 2 bedroom in November 02 and loved it. The unit was around 1200 square feet - larger than our 1st house!

The second bedroom had 2 full size beds rather than twins if you have older children with you. TVs in both bedrooms and in LR.

The resort is not huge like Vistana Resort (we prefer a smaller resort). Very convenient to Disney, Universal and Sea World. Grocery store and premium outlet mall also very close.

Enjoy your trip!

Thank you all...sounds pretty nice! A couple of more questions....did any of you go thru the time share pitch? How intense/uncomfortable/lengthy was it...and was there any "reward" for going thru it?
And.....how long a drive is it to Diz property?

My family and I stayed there in June 2002 and we loved it! The only "complaint" was that we were very close to the waterfall and it was LOUD!!

We did do the timeshare spiel and we did not buy. The sales pitch was not high pressure imho. They fed us a continental breakfast and after that sent the kids (then 4 and 6) to a room to color and play with other kids. We received $50 (I think) which we spent at the outlet mall across the street.

You will definitely enjoy the rooms. Like someone else mentioned, the beds in the 2nd bedroom are full size and the 2nd bathroom has a pocket door leading to the bedroom as well as a entry door from the hall. The unit was tastefully decorated and most importantly, the washer and dryer came in handy.

I would love to go back--but alas the promotion that they ran in 2002 is no longer available--we got one night free with the purchase of six nights at $109.90/night!! This year we will be at the Cypress Pointe Grand Villas.

Enjoy your trip!! ºoº

We did the timeshare, I would not do them again. I started right off by telling them very nicely that I would not be buying a timeshare this trip, (it was required with our package) I felt pressured, they would not take no for an answer and it lasted well over the 90 minutes, I finally had to get a bit rude so they would let us go. we were there close to 2 hours, we received $75. I dont personally think it is worth the time, unless you are really interested in buying.

If I remember correctly Disney was about a 10 minute drive, Sea World was about 5 and Universal was about 10-15.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom (not deluxe) In VV and it was quite small. We were still pleased since I got it from SkyAuction cheaply and it had kitchennete, two TV-s, washer-dryer, and a balcony- everything we needed.
I heard 2 bedroom units are much bigger and very nice. The resort is beautiful, especially the pool!
It takes 15 mins or so to get to Disney - just take a left on International drive, go till the end of the road, then turn right - you will see Disney signs.
