Vistana "Villages" not the resort

The one on International Drive. It looks gorgeous! Has anyone stayed there? Is it as beautiful as looks on starwood.com or allearsnet.com?

How far is it from everything?

yes it is lovely and gets pretty good reviews - it doesn't have the swimming pools or activites of the resort yet...

We just stayed there in April, & it was boring! Not nearly as fun as the 7 pools at the Resort. The desk staff are wonderful, but the rec staff leave a lot to be desired. The room was nice, clean, but the rug & couch needed replacing & this is a new resort. And the construction was not quiet & we stayed in building 10.

We just got back from the villages and it is more beautiful than the website shows. We were in building 4, it was the nicest condo we have EVER stayed at. The pool is nice, there are only 2 instead of 7. The rooms at the villages are SO much nicer than the resort.

Yes, its a nice resort.. its not THAT new though.. its at least 5 years old.. so its hardly surprising that some things are looking like they need a refurb.

I agree that the condos are nicer than those at the resort.. I think they are more predictable... if you get the newer apartments at the resort they will be ok.

I prefer the villages as it is smaller - I disliked the size of the vistana resort.. WAY too big for my liking. I like to be close to everthing.

It doesnt have the same facilities as the resort, but imho its a nicer resort. I wouldnt go back to Vistana Resort.. but would go back to the Villages.

Personally, I didnt care for the decor. We were building 1. The decor looked old fashioned - but well maintained. There are certainly other time share places that I prefer... (But it was LOADS better than Summer Bay where we stayed the week before!)
