I got an offer in the mail for the Vistana Village for 4 nights for $209, I assume this is a time share pitch required kinda thing but would like some opinions regarding the accomodations. Is it nice? Is $55 a night a really good deal? How close is it to Disney? Does anyone have pictures of VV? I saw someones pics of Vistana Resort and it looked really nice, which one is nicer? I have been ready to start planning for our trip for next year boy this sure does put fire in me. We haven't been in 3 years!

V V is great! We stayed there last December in the one bedroom unit and were pretty comfy there. It has a warmer feel then Vistana Resort. Earthier colors rather than tropical. If you have the one bedroom for 55/night, that's a good deal. It had a small kitchen area with microwave, sink, stove, fridge, washer and dryer and jacuzzi tub for one. TV in Family room and bedroom,

The time share presentation is not too bad, just remember to stand your ground if you don't want to buy. And DON'T ENCOURAGE THEM by sounding interested in anything.

Getting to WDW is about 10 minutes on average, depending on the park you're going to.

I've been to both Vistana's and would pick V V as the better choice only because it is newer.

$55.00 is a STEAL!

We stayed there in a 2BR unit with 2nd bath, full kitchen, washer/dryer, jacuzzi, balcony, 3 tv's. It's beautiful and conveniently located. You would be only minutes from I-DRive where there is an abundance of restaurants, shops, gas stations, grocery stores. SeaWorld is like 5-8 minutes away (across the street).

There is only a deli and store, no full service restaurant onsite. But the pools and playground are great. Waterfalls and impeccable landscaping - would highly recommend staying here.

Feel free to ask any questions :D

OMG I was JUST going to post on this. I got the same offer today. Only it also says you get 100 back in money to use at Orlando Attractions namely Universal, Sea World or WDW!!!! I also got the 219 for four nights too. i called and they said that unless your invitation (I assume yours was an "invitation" too ) stated you needed to take a tour then one is not necessary to get the rate. They also said you have 12 months to take advantage. I assumed that it was because I stayed with them before. HockeyDadof2 did you ever stay with them or in a Sheraton resort? They said you have no choice over what villa you stay in and you had to take what you get. I am planning to go for 16 days next year and it is hard to book that many on a deal. The 55 is for the ONE Bedroom. Since you are HockeyDadof 2 I am assuming it might however be a little small for you . If you want more info PM me.

My invitation does indeed include the $100 gift. After I read your post I reread the contents of my invitation and there is no mention of a tour. We were thinking of staying at WDW for our Disney portion of our trip and maybe spending our Universal and Sea World time at the Vistana Village.

My boys will be 12 and 8 when we go next summer, I figured they would just sleep on the sofa bed. No we haven't stayed at either Vistana before.

Okay so now it will drive me crazy as to where they got my name for their list. And here I thought I really was a preferred guest because I stayed there so many times. Apparently there are a number of different deals according to the agent with whom I spoke. I am betting that this one has to do with having a credit card most probably a platinum one. I am also betting that when you get there they will even up the ante if you take a tour. Also it is most definately non transferrable. So what they are doing is giving the tour rate and not making you take the tour. HMMMM very interesting. So many of this type of resort springing up that the consumer is going to get the benefit at least for the next couple of years.

HockeyDadof2 it is 100.00 in CASH!!! I called and reserved today. Also, the rate does not come to 55 it comes to 30 per night when you figure the 100 cash back bounus!!!!

You should check to see if the $100 cash is after you attend one of their presentations. When I stayed (beautiful place!) we were given the option of attending a presentation and getting $100 worth of universal tickets. That time we paid about $59 through Hotel Kingdom.

The first thing I did when i got the offer was to call Sheraton and ask that same question. They said if the offer did not specifically say that one had to take the tour then it was not required.
