Vistana Resort Pool Towels

I know that you can sign out pool towels at the pool area, and then return them. My question is can I take the towel back to my room and then return it later? Also, does it have to be returned to the same pool station?

Well I always take mine to the room and return it later when I get my new ones for the next day.
Its never a problem
When I return them I've rarely been asked to sign them in so how they keep track of them I dont know - I even take them to the water parks.
