I tried doing a search on this but didn't come up with anything. We stayed at Vistana several years ago in the Fountains section right by the pool. While we enjoyed that section, this time we're hoping for a newer unit. I know that Lakes is very close to Fountains but I never did come across the pool. We are big pool people so it's important to us. Is the Lakes pool similiar to the Fountains pool? Are they close together? Are there units right outside the pool in the Lakes section as there is the Fountains section?

Thanks for any info you can give me. I appreciate it!!

the fountain and lake pool were next to each other. you just go through a community type building - had gym, activities. to get to the fountain II pools

the fountain II have the only restuarant in this section.

We're in a very nice Lakes unit right now. I'll try to take a pic of the pool and post it for you.

Okay; we were just at both pools. We've always stayed in Springs before, on the other side of the road. The Fountains and Lakes pools are just steps away from each other, less than a 2 minute walk. The Fountains pool is larger, freeform, with a waterfall, and 2 secluded hot tubs. The pool has a volleyball net, and an island in the middle. It's open from 7 am - 1 am.

The Lakes pool is much smaller, would almost count as a "quiet pool"--although I don't know if it's quiet or not during the day! It is zero entry, with a little interactive fountains thing, and would be good for small children, of which there were a number. No hot tub. The Lakes pool is open from 8 am to 10 pm, and a security guy appeared on the dot at 10 to shout that the pool was closed. (didn't stay around to enforce it, but it was all families with moms and dads who did.)

I took some night time shots, but they look like they were taken in the deep sea. We're here on a quick trip, but I'll try to grab a few daytime shots.

hmmm, we want to stay in a new unit really close to a larger pool. We liked fountains (II I think) and we could sit on our ground floor balcony and see our kids at the pool. Really wanted a newer unit though. Maybe Cascades would be better..... of course, there is no guarantees will get what we ask for either but thinking about what to request.....

Thanks for the info.
