All of the complexes are mixed. There is no specific under 21 complex. It is the apartments that are "Wellness" or 'Non wellness". So when he checks in they will see that he is over 21 and will put him with other people 21 and up, unless he requests to live in a Wellness.
Just an FYI- Vista Way serves as a centralized check-in location. Actual apartments aren't assigned until check in day.
Sometimes when people see the instruction to go to Vista Way, they think that that is where they will be staying. Not sure if you were aware of that or not.
My S turned 21 when he was in the CP. Switched to a non-wellness. He like it better not bc of the alcohol but bc his 21+ roommates were more mature and cleaner than his 18 & 19 yo roommates.
My daughter moved into Vista Way last week. The beds are regular twin. Some sort of mattress pad is a good idea as the beds are very hard. I got my daughter a cheap foam egg crate mattress pad from Target and a mattress pad with some cushioning from Kohls.
