If it's going to be very cold during some of our trip, will it be uncomfortable to have to wear a coat-especially on some of the outdoor rides?

We have been to Disney 3 times in dec. it is our favorite time of the year to go. :) The weather tends to usally be in the 70's during the day and 50's at night. If you tend to be a cold person then you might want a light jacket at night for rides, ect.
Always be ready for rain, sometimes it rains in Florida everyday, although it is usally just a passing shower, sometimes in can last longer. Usally a rain poncho is all you need, although we also take an umbrella along just in case.(No we don't carry the umbrella unless it is pouring when we leave for the parks).
Hope this helps and enjoy your trip. :)

We usually go during the 2nd week of December for my birthday, and love it! The parks and resorts are even more magical than usual with their holiday decorations up. We find that a sweatshirt is usually enough for us in the evenings, and carry collapsable windbreaker/raingear just in case. (Of course, coming down from Minnesota, anything above freezing feels like summer to us by then!! ;) )

We have been to Disney 3 times for the first week of two in December an I think it is a perfect time to go, like pooh67_68 said the temps are generally in the 70's during the day and 50's at night. No humidity, no bugs. We wore shorts during the day and track pants with sweatshirts or light jacket at night.... we even swam in the heated pools at night:p
The decorations are enough reason to go!!!!!!

Our favorite time to go is the first or second week in December - you will love it if that is when you are going!

You have to be prepared for any kind of weather. I have been so hot I was sweating at night and I have been so cold we were shivering! (Really, I am not exaggerating  )

Usually, it is somewhere in the middle of these extremes, but you have to be ready.

I suggest carrying shorts and long pants; t-shirts, long-sleeve light weight shirts, sweatshirts and gloves. If it gets really cold, you just layer. One year as we walked around EPCOT it got colder and colder! Every country we came out of we could tell a difference. It got down to freezing that night. That year, we wore a t-shirt, a sweatshirt AND a jacket! But we had a blast and that may be our best trip yet! The next December trip we wore shorts and t-shirts to MVMCP and I remember literally sweating! We did NOT want the free hot chocolate!

SO! Just be prepared for everything. We've never carried overcoats, only light jackets with plans to layer if necessary.

We always carry several layers of clothing that time of the year. We wear our short sleeved shirts with another long sleeved shirt or sweater over it and carry sweat shirts or heavey jackets (depending on the weather forcast) for the evening. You can take it off or put it on as needed. If you don't want to carry everything all day just put the cool weather clothes in a locker and plan to return to get them around sunset when it can get real cool real quick.

We've been in December and the waether was typicxal for that time. We wore jeans daily because it was so chilly in the mornings and evening..but we did see people in shorts but if you're from the north then that weather probably did seem 'warm' to you. I wore 'Cuddleduds' under my shirts. It;s very thin silky theramal underwear layer. I got it at Dillards dept store but I've seen them at Pennys and Target and I'me sure other stores have a version of it. When it warmed up I went to the bathroom and took it off and it folds very small since it's so thin and put it in my bag. The only jacket I had was a polar fleece from Old Navy and our Nylon rain jackets..which keep you very warm since it's plastic.

Definitely buy the Christmas Mickey Santa hats. Everyone has them on and they keep your head sooooo warm. I'd take it off for second and say 'Man it's cold' We're going in Feb and we're joking if we could wear our Santa hats again to keep warm.
