Visiting universal

Hi! On our next trip, we plan on staying on site at Disney and we will not have a rental car. We are thinking of going to universal for a day or two but since we will have no car, we are wondering what the best way to get to and from universal would be. Is there a shuttle? Is it far?

Mears has a shuttle, or you could take a taxi or the lynx bus.
