In Vancouver for a wedding Labour Day weekend. Haven't been there in about 13 years, and this is the first trip my wife and I have had without the kids in nearly 9 years (you can probably guess the age of my oldest). We'll be out a bit with my wife's friends and some of my relatives while we're there, but it's likely we'll have a couple meals just on our own.

Wondering if you guys have any non-chain suggestions? We're staying around Robson and Thurlow if that helps. Also, coffee shops - I'd like to try something other than SBucks and Blenz if I can.

Thanks!

Do you have a price range in mind for your meals out? What kind of food do you guys like?

Some of my suggestions without knowing your budget would be Joe Fortes, Cin Cin, Nightengale and if you like Indian cuisine Copper Chimney is great too.

As far as coffee places, hands down Caffe Artigiano. They have a few locations in walking distance of Robson and Thurlow. Giovane is also goof for coffee and has a neat little cafe attached if you want to grab a light meal

Price-wise, I think we're looking at anything up to $30/entree, so that encompasses a lot.
