Visiting Savannah from Hilton Head - ideas??

We were there in October.

I second the Tybee Island suggestion. Great place, more fun than HH itself. The lighthouse/battery museum is a worthwhile visit, as is the small science center there next to the beach.

In Savannah, there's a bunch of shops there along the river. I would recommend skipping the roundhouse/train museum- it was ok, but really not all that interesting. We didn't try any of the tours. Fort Pulaski is worth the time.

I disagree on Tybee Island, I did not like it at all, HHI beats it hands down to me. The only positive to Tybee island was my daughter got to watch Miley Cyrus filming her movie.

Thanks to all who have given me some insight here! We have been to HH one time and loved it, but I am pretty much clueless about everything there beside the resort itself!
