I am a DVC owner at Old Key West and have been vacationing there since about 1994.

After years and years and years of planning, raising my kids, and finishing my career, I am FINALLY moving to the Orlando area in less than three weeks. If, on the spur of the moment, I decide I'd like to have dinner at Olivias, or I want to buy something at the General Store, will I have trouble getting into the resort? I guess I have the same question about visiting any of the other resorts.

Thanks.

Debbie

You should not have any problem getting into the resort. Just tell the guard at the entrance where you are going. The driver will need to show a photo id. They may or may not let you park at the resorts in the Epcot area.

Make an RSVP be safe.
(esp at max comp. time. )
At Contemp the guard looked at looked for my ressie at Chef Mickey.
Also CONGRATS!

Thank you both for your responses. And thanks for the "congrats." I literally have been planning this for 15 years. I thought Disney vacation countdowns were tough to get through....but waiting for moving day is like torture!

Congrats! Enjoy your time at WDW and the resorts/DTD, and BW as a local :)

Let us know how you like it once you are there a while.

I've been doing the same thing for 7 years but I've got 5 more years before my husband retires. I look at houses every day on the Internet. We always say should we buy a house or more points. Congratulations!!! Enjoy!!!

No problems visiting, eating or shopping. However, for places where parking is an issue, like BWV, you'll either need to valet or park across the street in most situations. You also will not be able to use the pool or other facilities.

Thanks everybody. And thanks for the well-wishes. I am so looking forward to this move. I'll try to come back and report.

Debbie
