We will be staying at a hotel in DTD next month. I would like to visit the resorts to see the Christmas decorations.

My question is, will we be allowed to visit the resorts even though we are not staying on property?

Also, can you make a reservation for dinner at a resort if you are not staying on property?

Thanks!

Thank you, both!

The reason I asked is because when we stayed at Pop last week and a friend came to visit, she had to tell the guard my name and room number. Since I will not be staying on property this time, I was wondering if I wanted to drive to visit the different resorts, if they would allow me to enter if I was not visiting a guest or dining.

Also, can I make an Advanced Dining Reservation even though I will not be staying on property?

If so, how would I do that?

I believe you would go about that as you would with any other dining reservations at WDW. Anyone can eat at the resorts and call ahead!

If you are driving to each resort, just tell the security guards that you have reservations or that you will be dining at their restaurant. They will either wave you through or give you a temporary parking pass for the resort.

Otherwise, just take the boat, monorail, or bus over and walk straight to the restaurant!

Have a great time!

Disney loves for you to visit the resorts and wet your appetite.:cool1: Just pull up to the guard gate and advise them you would like to tour the resort to see the decorations. You will be admitted.:thumbsup2

Thanks, DizneyNutz!! So far I have only stayed at Pop and AKL. I am looking forward to visiting some of the other resorts!!!

We do this on every Chrisymas trip. Well worth doing to get a feel of how each resort decorates for the holidays. You will find your favorites by doing this:thumbsup2

You make your ADR's the same way as if you were staying on property. Just call WDW - DINE and book your ADR. You do not need to be a resort guest to eat in a resort restaurant. I will be doing this in February when I am in Orlando for a confernece for work, but will be staying in Orlando. I am going to book an ADR for 1 night at Disney.
