Visiting Orlando from Disney

Hi there,

My wife and I are visiting WDW from the Uk next year, and staying onsite for 14 days. (Port Orleans)

We would like to go into Orlando at some point, so does Disney do a bus into town or would we need to get a taxi?

Any advice would be fantastic!!!

You have a few options in getting "off-Disney":

• Lynx Rapid Transit (public bus service) - picks-up/drops-off at the TTC
• Car Rental - there are several facilties on WDW in addition to the widely-known Car Care Center - you would most likely need an international driver's license...
• Taxi - the majority of the taxicabs are parked at the TTC

Or, if you are going to a specific destination (such as Sea World or Universal), you can hire transportation (in the past, I have used Mears Transportation).

It should be noted that Disney, themselves, does not offer off-property transport (except for the airport bus and the Disney Cruise Line shuttle) -- they want you to stay with them, as much as possible...
