My daughter... 19 is going to London in March with me while I attend boring meetings at the Trinity House. Any ideas for tours... passes? Best places for "fish-n-chips" near Dolphin Square? What is the London Pass? Is the Hard Rock Cafe the original? Planet Hollywood... then again, why would I want to visit Planet Hollywood while in London??

Thanks for all your help on my previous trip. I had a great time near Parliment, Westminster, the Eye...

Manchester is next this coming May...

Looking forward to your replies.

I believe Hard Rock is the original.
It's on Park Lane, nearest tube is Green Park or Marble Arch I think.

The buses are good to go round in.

If she buys a 1 day travel card she can use buses and tubes (subways) all day with just the 1 ticket (get all zones).

We`re off to London next week. Our favourite thing to do is the guided walks by www.walks.com you get to see loads of London and these walks are led by very entertaining guides. The evening walks have titles such as " Jack the Ripper Haunts", " Ghosts of the West End", "Undiscovered London Pub Walks". They must have about 50 daytime and evening walks to choose from and they cost about a fiver each.
My 18 year old DD also loves the Camden markets and I love Liberty`s - a fabulous store.
Sorry don`t know about the fish and chips!

Have a great trip.

Just secured accomodations in Brompton, Park Mansions near Harrods and Hyde Park!! Can't wait to go back.
