Visiting in May

What week do you think is the best week in May to visit Disney?
We just came back and October was insane, so we'd like to try to choose a month that is a little less crowded. Thanks for your help! We're planning a 2018 trip. Never to early for a Dis trip to look forward to!!

Probably the earlier, the better. Where I live, school is out before Memorial Day and I'm sure that's true for several areas around the country.

We're going during the second week of May and hoping for decent crowd levels.

OK! The first week of May sounds good to me! I went once around May 10th and we had a great time. I didn't have kids then, so not sure if the crowds bothered me a little less back then. We didn't have to do the most popular rides either!

The earlier the better in terms of weather too. May can be warm and humid and gets worse as it gets closer to June.

First week was fantastic for us. Great weather, not humid, only one day of brief rain, the cheerleaders left the day after we arrived.

First or second week. We have done both. Decent weather and lower crowds. We are going back next May 1st for a few days!

Agree earlier the better. We have found crowds still manageable up until Thursday before Memorial Day weekend then it gets busier each day.

We have gone the last 4 May's and usually go the 3rd week. It is great for both weather and crowds. But I agree the 1st and 2nd week are best.

end of may would be start of summer so if you always come in summer, go earlier in the month and enjoy the end of spring in WDW.

In 2014 we went the first 2 weeks in May and it was awesome! The weather was perfect and the crowds were very manageable.

We would definitely go back at that time of year again.

Thanks everyone!! I'm excited to start planning our May 2018 trip. I'll stick with the first weeks of May.

twice we've arrived on Mothers day and it was perfect in terms of everything (crowds, weather). So that's usually the 2nd weekend in May.
