Visiting in March

As others have said, bring layers & be prepared for both warm & cold weather. We’ve worn shorts/tees and jeans/jackets/gloves within a 7-day span that time of year. And almost every one of the multiple Disney jackets & sweaters I own were purchased due to an unexpected cool front blowing in!

We’ve done early February twice and been pretty lucky—high temps from the 60s to 80s on those stays. Coming from Canada it always felt warm to us, even if locals were hustling about in down coats and mittens (I grew up in FL and NC, but after this much time away I’m always amused by the different standard of “cold”). We’re going in March this time and expect a similar range—hoping for not too hot so we can enjoy the parks fully. (Even in February last year we had at least one day that was bordering on too hot to be pleasant for us.)

And yes, the pools have always been heated when we’ve been there—even on the cooler days we found the water very pleasant. (Getting OUT of the water was another story...)

Our experience with a few trips in March has been really warm. High 80's mostly. One trip it was cold in the mornings and we were not prepared for it. I say wait till a few days before to plan your attire and check the weather regularly. One big thing is, don't get frustrated if it shows rain most days of your trip. We have had trips where it showed rain everyday of our trip but it never rained once.

We are use to this weather forecast thing, it’s the same in Mexico they said it will rain everyday and most of the time it doesn’t....

We love this time of year and attempt to take our trips end of February beginning of March. We have never gone wrong on the weather but once my daughter went with a school trip mid February and she froze!! Last year the temps were 80s during the day and 60-65 at night. We camped and were more than comfortable. We always bring warm clothing just in case and the pool was heated and really nice!!!

Just Looked the princess 1/2 marathon is 2/21-2/24 2019. I agree it makes the parks a little busier but my reservations are 2/24-3/2 so I will keep it. My college kids are off that week!!

I was there the first full week of March 2017. It was shorts weather for this PA girl (mid-upper 70s most of the week), but for the first few nights I definitely needed a sweatshirt after the sun went down.
