We are planning a trip to WDW in March, we have been to WDW few times but always in summer.

What kind of temperature should we expect on or around the 1st week of March?

Do they have heated pool?

Thanks

What dates in March? I think that makes a big difference if it is closer to Easter, or later in the month with Spring Break.

We were there last March, the first week, and a few days end of Feb. The weather was great, 70's and sunny. I imagine that was just luck, but we had a great time in that perfect weather. Wouldn't hesitate to go again the first of March only. As far as the pools, we don't ever swim, so not sure. hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, we are planning on visiting between February 27 to March 10.

Curious, that's about when we visited this past winter. From FEb 27 to March 7th. We were the week following the huge Princess half marathon and I thought there would be no increase in the crowds at that time. The marathon started on the previous Thursday (I think) and ran through Sunday. I thought everyone who came for it would just take the Mon, Tues, Weds before the race off work for visiting WDW. Apparently I was wrong. It was much more crowded than I had heard for that time of year. However, the closer to the end of our stay had very good crowd levels.

I don't know when the marathon starts and ends next year, but it would worth it to check it out. I would not book the week following the event, if that is truly what caused the increase in crowds immediately following it. We went in the middle of FEbruary the year before and had really good crowd levels, very manageable, but there were several cheerleading events and foreign tour groups. So that is why we went at the different time frame this year.

Honestly, you won’t know what weather to expect until a few days before the trip.

Yeah kind of knew that, was hoping to get a kind of avg answer.....but hey we will be at WDW that alone is something awesome

We've gone a couple of times the 2nd week in March, which I think would be similar. It does vary so dress in layers. Some days it's hot and sunny, other days it's cool. Dressing in layers is key.

Plan for warm weather in the 80's. Highs in the high 80's, lows in the mid 70's. Cold front has a chance to be there, but I'd anticipate warm weather

It's so unpredictable. I hate planning around it, but I'm looking forward to better temps than we had this month!!!

Make sure you have room in your luggage for layers.

Living in Florida my whole life, I know first hand how unpredictable our weather is. Pack shorts and long pants because it could be burning up in the 90s or it could be mid 70s and pretty cool. It's also super hit or miss with crowds since March is spring break time. Some school's spring break start early but it won't be too bad. It should be a pretty nice trip though, definitely less crowded and cooler then summer trips! Have fun and good luck!

This March trip will be a premier for us, we normally go to Mexico in winter, but your answer is giving us a pretty good idea of what to expect...

Thanks

Mid 70's is not pretty cool when you're coming from snow and temps in the teens. :rotfl:

Right but still i would prefer 90’s over 70’s, i am born and raised up north and still to this day i hate winter with passion

I was there in early March this year and found the weather more pleasant than our late December visit last year. Think it depends. Sunscreen, water, and layers can't go wrong. Check the temps closer to your trip!

Was there the first week of March for DAH and it was in the high 40's one night. No enjoying the free ice cream that night. It can get quite cold so pack one warm outfit!

We were there last October and expected highs in the upper 80's, but one day the high maybe reached 70. We were in jeans and tshirts and nearly froze after dark. I had brought a blanket to put on the ground for lunch but ended up wearing it. Sweatshirts and sweaters sold out at the shops. The hostess at Rose & Crown said she'd never seen it this cool in October before. But we loved it, other than the freezing part. Better than overheating and getting ill.

We're headed to WDW this coming March as well, so we'll be watching the weather closely.

I just researched into it further and all resort pools are heated to 82 degrees.

Yea all the pools should be heated. If they weren't, no one would ever use the pools unless they enjoy swimming in cold water. Even with the Florida heat, if you don't have a heater on your pool, you're going to be jumping in and spending a minute to get acclamated to the chilliness.
