Visiting Gf And Monorail

This Is My First Time Asking A Question And I Hope I'm In The Right Spot But I Was Wondering If My Parents Are Staying At The Grand Floridian And I Am Staying At The Pofq Can I Go Visit Them By Car And Then Go To Mk By Monorail With Them.do You Have To Pay For Parking At The Hotel And Is It Worth Taking The Monorail Or Should We Just Drive There And Meet Them.we Are Going In Dec For Mvmcp.

I think that you can get a "visitor" pass to go see your parents at the Floridian. Depending on what time in December, I can't see a problem with you leaving your car there. In the beginning of the month it is less busy, and they will probabally be more leniant to you parking there.

We've been able to drive into resorts to just check them out, they have done one of two things, 1. just let us in with our other Disney Resort Parking Pass, or 2. Given us a visitor pass, which expires about 2 hours after you go in. I'm not so sure that they check though, in less busy times.

You can definitely take your car there and meetup with them...just make sure you don't ask to goto the pool while theyre gone.

Honestly, you're better off asking that question when you arrive on site. The reason I say that is because it really depends on what time of year you're there. I know you mentioned December and another poster said that early December is not crowded. Well, that's actually when they are filming the Christmas parade and some of the people associated with that stay at the GF. Your parents will probably be able to get you a visitors pass for the day (there is no charge), but as I said, they should just ask guest services upon arrival. You are more than welcome to ride the monorail.

My suggestion would be one of two things.

1. Take Disney transport to the MK and then take the monorail around to the GF.

2. Drive and park at the TTC (you park there for free since you are staying on site). Then take the Resort Monorail from the TTC to the GF. Easy.

Typically you will get a visitor parking pass to park at the GF for a certain amount of time (3 hours usually). Parking at monorail resorts is not allowed if you are going to the MK, though your experience may vary.
