We are traveling to Georgia the 2nd week of June and want to find a place to pick peaches. We will be in the vicinity of Atlanta & along the southern coast. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I think that you will be a few weeks too early to pick peaches the first of June in Ga or Alabama or anywhere. I think they come in later in the month and then around the 4th of July. Be sure and pick clear seed.

In Fayette co (about 20 mins south of the airport) we have a U-pick it. They have tons of fruits and veggies almost yr round for you to pick. Not sure about peaches though.
Directions from I75 at the airport would be;
continue about a mile past airport exit on Riverdale Rd continue on Riverdale Rd until you get into Fayetteville at the town square in fayetteville turn right at the first light go about 5 miles down and the U pick it is on the left side of the road. If you hit peachtree city you have gone too far.
I can also give directions from I 85 if you need them. Good luck and have fun here in ATL. It has been real rainey here the past month, you may want to bring an umbrella. *8+inches of rain this month!!!

DNSDisney,

Do you live in the Fayette area?

Down here in south Georgia we have plenty of peaches. Barney and Morven, Ga has several packing sheds, along with some pick it yourself places. I'm in the bottom of the state near the Fl. line.

Yes I live in Fayette Co. Actually in the city of Peachtree City, home of thousands of golf carts LOL:p
Why?
