Hi there. I am currently planning the itinerary for our second trip to WDW which will be this August. On our very first visit last year, we were intent on seeing all of the major stuff so we spent our time in the 4 main parks. This time around, we are staying for more days and are hoping to check out more of the property.

We will be staying in the Wilderness Lodge :woohoo: which is SO EXCITING but I would love the chance to check out Fort Wilderness while we are there (my travel party are camping enthusiasts, but will have just come back from a 2 week camping trip, so we're not looking to stay at FW...). I don't think my group would be interested in the Hoop Dee Doo (also not really looking to spend much extra money either), but wouldn't be opposed to having a meal there. My question is, for a casual (probably evening-time) visitor, what is there to DO at Fort Wilderness, other than just walking around? (My group is all adults in their late 20's & early 30's). Anyone have any suggestions? TIA for your help!

1) Dinner at Trails End
2) Drinks at Crockett Tavern
3) Chip-n-Dale Campfire after dinner
. . . campfire and marshmallows
. . . photos/autographs of Chip-Dale
. . . group Singalong
. . . outdoor Disney movies
. . . lake boat rentals
. . . bike rentals
. . . creek canoe rentals

All that plus you can hang out in a chair on the beach. If you're there late enough, you can even catch the fireworks and water pageant.

If you're there early enough, you can also visit the stables and horses or take a wagon or carriage ride through the campground. The wagon ride is more affordable and probably better for a group activity.

During the day, there is also horseback riding and I think you can also take a Segway tour of the campground, unless they stopped that.

We would rent bikes at WL and pedal over to theFort
Go by the petting zoo area
Go inside the horse barn and see the various horses
Just ride around and look - easy on a bike
