Long story short, does anyone know if they will allow us on property to a DVC resort while we are not staying on property. We are not trying to get free parking, we have AP's. We are going with family and will be off property 1 day but on that day I want to take them to tour VWL and maybe eat there. We will be checking into BCV after that for the rest of our stay but we will be touring the resorts there and since time is very limited touring VWL has to be on the off day. Will they let us in? Will they give us a day parking pass or such? We were there last month and noticed how security has changed, and with good reason. I do know that once you have that parking pass you are welcomed anywhere on Disney property. What do you all think? I can show proof of DVC membership, ap's so that they don't think we are looking for parking, reservation sheet for check-in the following day. Has anyone had this experience recently? Thanks!

Every DVC member can use valet service (for free) at VWL, BWV and BCV. Just have your DVC card with you.

They should allow you to visit the resort (make sure you have your DVC card) or enjoy a meal (just get a PS to be safe) without much problem.

Enjoy!!

My guess is that if you show them your DVC card and tell them that you are there that day to do the presentation because someone is thinking of buying into it, and that you are checking into a DVC property the next day, you shouldn't have too much problem with parking etc.

Agree completely, you won't have any problem at all.

If you are going to eat in WL restuarant - the security guard will let you in - you will probably get the 3 hour pass - the only time that the security guard will not let you in is when the hotel is completed full (not necessary the parking lot - just the hotel) - then go park in the T/T (I know alot more trouble) - then take the monrail to the MK, then the boat to WL - yes alot more trouble.

Thanks everyone. My guests had their choice of resorts to stay at and they picked BCV but VWL was a close second. And BCV was the only DVC resort we have yet to stay at so BCV won out. BUT, they are so looking forward to checking it out and being one of our home resorts we don't mind showing it off;) We have never stayed off property so it will be very weird, and even stranger to try and convince someone we belong there since we have never had to do this.

I have done this a couple times... I occasionally visit Orlando on business (and stay in an Orlando hotel). I like to "visit" home while I'm in the area, though, especially if there's a new place to see! I have never ever had a problem doing this -- I even got "Welcome Home!" when I explained my "mission" to the guard! In March, I was in Orlando on business and decided to check out BWV versus BCV for room size for our next trip -- you know, walk in each 2 br "demo" and compare one to the other WITHOUT my trio of kids running loops around me! THe DVC staff was VERY accommodating and even "fed" me at BWV, and gave me a pin at BCV. Home is home! In short, you shouldn't have any problem doing this.

Cindy

Thanks again everyone. I'm putting it on the agenda. Can't wait to show all our DVC homes off.
