We ars staying offsite and not doing Disney this Trip. We’d like to visit a resort (probably pop), eat at the food court, shop, anf just soak up some Disney feel. In years past this was never a problem. Can we still do this? We planned on parking at Disney Springs and using the bus, not parking at the resort.

I'm doing the same thing next month. If you are using the bus I don't see any problems. But if you are going by car I think they would want to see an ADR to let you park in their lot.

I think that visitor parking at any Skyliner resort will be prohibited in the future with the exception of resorts that have table service dining, where it's possible to have an ADR. Too many people try to avoid the theme park parking fees by parking at resorts which have easy access to parks. But parking at DS, taking a bus to POP and back and then doing some shopping should be fine.
