Visit from Tinkerbell Ideas

I had read in a couple of places about Tink coming to visit while in Disney World....... I am wanting Tink to visit us every day while we are there but I am having a hard time coming up with different ideas.....


What all did you guys do and how did you do it?

This is my DD 2nd trip but the first one that I think she will really Get It and I want to make it extra magical for all of us......



She is almost 6 years old......



Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated....

I did different characters and used some of the stuff I had already bought for my DD's ahead of time. For example, I had bought themdresses with Minnie on it to wear to Chef Mickey's our 1st night, once we checked in and headed to the pool, I "forgot" something and laid them on the bed with a little note I had pretyped on card stock wlecoming them to DisneyWorld and telling that I (Minnie) saw these dresses and just knew how cute they would look in them.
I didn't do it every night because I didn't want to them to expect it.
Other things I did, Thank you from Cinderella for coming to her castle for lunch with some Disney books, pencils, markers, Cinderella yo-yo's(all from DollarTree). Tink dropped off some Tink T-Shirts, princess fruit snacks, bouncy balls and pixie dust (glitter). Atcually that night I forgot so when we got home, I sent in the bathroom ans set it up ;they never knew any different!.
It is a really fun little thing to do and it does add some magic! Have fun!

For my DD (6), I gave tinkerbell gifts. This next trip (she'll still be 6) I want to continue it. I plan on getting one of the light-up spinners from the DS as one gift. If we are going to the castle for dinner or the wonderland tea party, I print out a pretty little note from that princess inviting her. I take it with us and leave it out that day or the night before. Last time I ordered a gift bag and it came as from the characters. Also, you can always get wake-up calls. I believe they are the characters. I am going to try that next time.

We would hide a pin or charm in DD's pockets or under her pillow when we were doing the Tink gifts. It was easy to add that when buying something else to give the next day or to pick up when going to the food courts without her.

I think it was the biggest mistake we ever made JK becuase check out her TINK ROOM in my sig . She became obsested with Tink because of those small gifts.

I usually do the Tinkerbell gifts for my youngest DD too! She loves it!!

Some of her gifts are: disposable camera, Disney socks (either purchased at Disney or before), Disney barettes or hair clips, Disney dollars, a favorite character stuffed animal, pins for trading (or keeping), Disney pajamas (I usually buy these the first day we're here and then she'll "find" them either waiting in the room - I'll usually go in first and put them on the bed while DH has her in the gift shop or I'll put them out while she's in the tub - this summer she got 101 Dalmation; last summer and last Dec, she got two different Stitch nightgowns), Disney stickers, Minnie Mouse ear rings, etc etc!!

I do a lot of my Tinkerbell shopping at the Dollar Tree close to our house, and some things, I pick up while we are at Disney - especially if there is something I see her really looking at...

We went in May for DD's 5th birthday. The tink gifts were one of the highlights for her, she talked about it all the way back to the airport on Magical Express!! I made a lot of new friends that trip too, sorry if you were on it!

Cinderella dress and shoes for lunch at the castle

PJ's (bought at DS)

A mini coloring book and fan for waiting in line (bought at DS)

A sticker book I bought at a gift shop at WDW for the flight home

One other thing, but I can't remember. I just put the things on the table in the room after she went to sleep.

My 7 year old son lost a tooth one day at Disney World, and Tinkerbell visited him AND his brothers and left a Tinkerbell themed trading pin for each kid under their pillows. The toothless one also got money (and the best of the pins).

We printed little notes on the computer in very tiny print from Tinkerbell. Then we rolled them up and tied them with gold thread. We left a tiny magnifying glass tied to the first note. You could even sprinkle a little bit of gold glitter around where you leave the note out in the room. My kids got so excited, even my oldest, that Tinkerbell left them special notes each day!

We just returned from our trip and Tinkerbell "visited" every night while the kids were sleeping. We told them that if they were good and went to sleep without fussing, Tinkerbell would leave them a special treat. I took a special gift bag for each of them and we hung it like a stocking. Tinkerbell left all kinds of goodies she found on clearance at the Disney Store!
Tinkerbell also visited before we left for our trip. She left pictures of a character for each of my kids, along with a special note and some pixie dust! The pixie dust is what my kids talk about the most!

Tinkerbell only visits us the night we arrive (too expensive otherwise!). She usually brings a new Disney shirt picked up at the DS before the trip, a small Disney stuffed figure, and a small toy or little piece of jewellry. This varies depending on what I can find on sale. I try not to spend more than $20 each. This trip coming up Tink will be bringing Disney diaries from the dollar store with new pens, and hopefully a Christmas Disney shirt from the DS. Tink comes while the kids are sleeping, and when they wake up they find a Disney themed gift bag from the dollar store and a cute little note...

We always stay at the WL and take the boat to and from the MK. My little girl is Tink Crazy too, one night we were taking the boat back and sitting up front where we could see the stars etc. and a airport light was going around I told my DD that was Tink flying around making sure everyone got home safe. She loved it and everytime we have been back she looks for Tink and she has always been there! I am not sure where the light is coming from but it looks real because there are "smoke clouds" from the fire works so it looks like Tink is not going in circles. I bet you can see this anywhere on the water.

Dollar Tree has lots of Disney Stuff! Pens, pencils, stampers, pens on a rope great for autograph books!!

One of my customers does that! I sell embroidered hair bows, and she bought these for her 2 DD from Tink

I'm planning a visit for Tink each night for DD4, DS5, and my Dnephew 3 for our upcoming trip-- we always have a hard time doing the mundane (brushing teeth, bathing, sleeping...) after a day at the park. I've made little party favor bags filled with PJpals (some are only $2.99 from disneyshopping.com right now!), disney toothbrush & toothpaste, magic towels, and other toiletries (shampoo, lip gloss) -- plus a few goodies from the dollar store (disney crayons, flashcards, coloring books). I'm hoping this will inspire them...

Thank you for the ideas to the posters and the original poster!! We're going in December with my parents, my mil and my bil and his fiance and i was trying to find things to do to make it special and these little gift ideas would be a great way of passing the magic their way.

I always send cards to everyone, but this way I can do crds to everyone from the characters and get some special little gifts before we go and then surprise everyone.

I better get shopping now!!!

I love this idea! Last year I picked gifts based on the park we were visiting that next day. Our gifts came from Mickey & Minnie since my kids are too young to questions how mickey & minnie got into the room! This year I might use Tink and the above idea!

I've already started planning the "Tink Treats" for my older dd, who will turn 5 while we are at WDW in January. I wrote up invitations from the princesses and characters for each of the character meals we will attend, plus little notes from Tink. I also have a stash of pixie dust.

I think that's it! This also covers her birthday!

Now, the question is: what do I do about my other dd, who will be 18 months old at the time of our trip? She won't know or care what is going on, but I don't want my older dd to think the little one was neglected...

What about the figurines that you can get at the Disney store? My DDs love those figurines and even if she just puts them in her mouth some of them are big enough that they're not a choking hazard, plus it gives her something to play with while she's in the stroller.

There's also the Disney blocks - at our Disney store they're on clearance, but they have characters inside them that she can shake them and play with.
