Visa Free Dining - Free Dining 101

We have never done free dining. My DSister decided at the last minute that she needs a short trip to de-stress (11/9 - 11/13). I could use some de-stressing, too. I called Disney and asked about the free dining and also the $59 per night promotion (Values). We would be staying four nights. Four nights at $59 a night comes to $266.

Free dining comes to $524 for the four nights, including a one day park ticket for each of us ($79.00 is what the CM told me the price is for a one day ticket). So if we deduct $79 for me and $79 for my sister for the tickets, it would leave $366. If we deduct $266 (cost of room for four nights at $59 a night), it would leave $100 so that would mean that my sister and I would be eating for $100 total for four days ($50 for each one of us). Can that be right? I don't know if I'm figuring this correctly or not. I have a sinus infection and I feel as though I'm not thinking clearly.

We really don't need tickets because we already have non-expiring park hoppers, but if this is a deal, we would take it.

Help! As I said my DH and I and my DSis and her DH have never done the dining so we really don't know anything about it.

Thats right except you can not stack discounts so you will be paying rack rate for your room not $59.00.
$99.00 for Sun ,Mon,Tues and Wed.

So that would be $396 for room
$160 for tickets

to the OP... your math is absolutely correct... by paying rack rate instead of discount, you can dine for $100! which is almost "free" in my book! (LOL!) besides, as my mother always tells me "it would cost more to stay home and feed you!"

I tried to use the WDW res site to check the math, but I couldn't get a value room for those dates.

I called Disney last night and was given that info and they had ASMusic available. My sister is supposed to make up her mind today whether she wants to do the free dining or just the room ($266) since we already have park hoppers. I hope I can still get Music after she makes up her mind.

Just to let you know, you only have to purchase a 1 day ticket for each in the room to get the free dining. It was worth it to us to get the ticket, it is good forever and can be upgraded in the future, even though we have AP.

You should book some ADR's ASAP.

You'll be getting one table service credit for each night of your stay per person. In order to use those credits, you'll need ADR's.
