VISA FD- Does it include Thanksgiving?

Hi everyone and congratulations if you took advantage of FD. Now get ready to tussle with me for those ADR's.

I have a question about Thanksgiving. I saw on another thread that others said they got FD during Thanksgiving with the VISA deal. I noticed that Thanksgiving is blocked out for the general public. When I booked ours I didn't even ask if Thanksgiving was blocked out. I booked 8 nights at POFQ starting Wednesday before Thanksgiving and I did ask CM if that was 8 TS and CS meals and he said yes. So I guess I'm asking Disney VISA free diners, are we sure we are getting Free Dining for Thanksgiving weekend?

I would think so, they opened up free dining to general public for this time also

I looked at WDW website and the deal for the public is from 10/02-11/24 and 11/29-12/17. Seeing this is what got me worried that it might not include Thanksgiving dates for Disney VISA holders as well.

I was able to get free dining over thanksgiving with the GP code. We are staying 7 nights starting the Wed before thanksgiving and my confirmation shows 7 TS, 7CS, and 7snacks per person.

With the package discounts, you get the package deal (in this case free dining) for the entire duration of your vacation as long as the first day of your vacation is one of the valid dates of the promotion. I've got free dining for my whole trip and my vacation starts 12/17.

For room rate discounts, the discount is a day by day deal so you won't get a discount on the blacked out dates.

Sorry - What/when is the Visa Free dining? I didn't see that. I did see the new public one that came out today.

My dates are 11/28 - 12/06 and I got the FD with Disney Visa. Now I am starting to get paranoid because my online confirmation doesn't mention dining.

Mine didn't either, so I called back after a few hours to make sure everything was okay. The CM assured me it was. The next morning I had an email with the changes and it was correct.

Our dates are Nov 21-28 and we have free dining the whole week including Thanksgiving.

Yes, we check in on Thanksgiving day and they gave it to us for the entire stay.

Same with us check in is 11/26 (thanksgiving day)-12/6 got FD for entire stay!

Whew! These responses make me feel better. Our confirmation for 11/25-12/03 says 8 nights, 1 meal per person per night.

The Visa Offers page says "For stays most nights 9/29 - 11/24/2009 and 11/29 - 12/17/2009"
However, we arrive on 11/26 and we got it for our entire stay (even though we're not even checking in on an "approved" date).

I was worried about this same thing. We check in on 11/26 as well and have FD for our stay.

I actually received a FD PIN earlier this year and although I never checked, I just assumed that our dates would not qualify since we were checking in on Thanksgiving day and it was not a date included in the dates with the PIN e-mail. I did know people were getting FD using that PIN over t-day if there vacation dates started on an eligble date. I double checked with our TA prior to booking the Visa FD that it did include ours and she assured me it does. Glad to know others were successful as well.
