I just signed up for my visa card and was approved. Is there anything i need to do? Do i need to register it for points or will it automatically tally it once i use it?
I clicked on the visa link on wdw site with $40 special- I hope i get that credit

How soon will i get info about promos? The pop up window just said I was approved and i will get my card in two weeks. If there's a promo nextweek can i still qualify since i dont have my card yet?

HOPING there will be a special for Nov 15-22

I also clicked on the link with disney on Monday, but there was only a 15 dollar special and I didn't get automatic approval!! I'm still waiting to hear!!! I tried clicking on a link, but it was generic and I really would like to be approved with a number before Monday!!!

Go to the Disney Rewards website and set up your account information with your email address, so they can email the special offers to you.

You don't have to do anything to get points, that happens automatically. I think you are already eligible for any offers, but if you don't have your card you'll have to call Chase to find out how to make charges. I was instantly approved online and it didn't take two weeks to get my card. It was less than a week. Two weeks is a worst case scenario I think. Good luck!

To let you know, if you plan on using your Disney Visa to book free dining on Monday, you have to have your card. Not just being approved. We found that out the hard way. They will ask you for a code on the back of the card.

actually they may be able to call Chase and get any codes needd to do that like a previous poster said. Request a temporary number if needed. Its been done before in other situations.

I hope you get a good cm then. Last year many people coudln't do it without the card. We called at least 3 times and they wouldn't do it.

Chase is reluctant to give out any secure information (I've been with them for several years as is my mortgage). I think with the way things are today, they'd rather you give them your CVV2 number, not the other way around. Now, you can request that they overnight you the card, if you've been approved, tell them you'll be traveling and don't want it sitting in your mailbox....

For points, you earn 1 point for every $100 spent (I believe). Those points must then be converted from your Disney Visa to a Disney Rewards Card (free). This is the only card you'll get. It looks much like a credit card (has the castle in silhouette and sorcerer mickey's arm pointing towards castle), except the numbers are not raised, they are printed on it. There is an expiration date on it and also has a security (CVV2) number on the back with the magnetic strip. Once you transfer the points from your Visa to your rewards card, the points typically show after 24 hours (business), so transfer your points prior to Fridays or else they MAY not be available for Saturdays or Sundays.

thank you for all the info.

thanks to everyone who has also posted. I'll have to checkout the site when i get back from the movies

BTW- i got a postcard and i was so excited! i thought it was a code. It turned out to be $129 for a dsiney annual passport ( i live in Calif). If i bought passports for me and my family would this count for the 0% off for 6 months? Do i get discounts? Living less than an hour away i dont need a package with resorts. just curious
