Had a terrible experience with a virtual notary.
I went home so that my wife and I could be in the same place to do this, only to be told that we each had to connect using different devices. Well my wife's worked just fine, but my phone continually was not letting me get through the "take pictures of documents" phase, or the one time that it DID get past that phase, it wouldn't load up my camera.
The notary was very rude and was constantly basically yelling at me that I was doing it wrong. then they sent new links to both me and my wife, and this time my wife's loaded up as ME, and mine still wouldn't load. Since my wife's was working, I was able to hold up my phone and show them the errors i was getting, but they had no solutions for me.
I tried three different browsers on my phone, and my wife and I have the same phone, so I don't know what the issue could have been.
Eventually I said forget this, I'll have them physically notarized here and mail them off. She seemed annoyed that she was losing business, but we had spent over a 1/2 hour trying to get everything working, to no avail.
Good luck with it. I've heard it can be very slick, but I won't be trying that again.
