My DH got out of the Times Square detail this year, thank God - I've been alone many a New Year's Eve, so having him celebrate w/us is really great. We're going to my sister's party, so I don't think I'll be here to party w/you guys. Have a great time!

DD and I fly solo every NYE. I tried going out to First Night but it's way too cold! I'm glad I can chat with you guys.

Cocowum is alone most New Years as well. I'm glad she has you guys to chat with tonight.

mmm that sounds lovely and a great way to ring in the new year+1sec. Tempting but there's no way I'm going out now for anything. I'll settle for whatever DH picked up. I trust his taste in spirits and I'm too busy baking cookies and taming this new wireless mouse that's flying all over the screen.
I do know we'll have a bottle of Fat Bas tard Cab Sauv with our Roast Beast. Figuring out my cooking times now. Thinking of Yorkshire Pudding with it. Never made it before Any tips?

Well, if it chips who cares, you can't really see it. I took off my really dark red color last night. Took me 1/2 hour though.

If anything, i'll be wearing out the keyboard keys.

So what did everyone eat for supper?

We had a meatball sub with swiss cheese, green peppers and shallots. SO YUMMY. Oh and Savannah Cheesecake Cookies for dessert with a glass of wine.

Just made a fantastic dinner of Cream of Crab soup, Steak Gorgonzola, Peel and Eat shrimp, wild rice with herbs, corn on the cob, and a huge vanilla cake with chocolate frosting and sprinkles. I went with Champagne for the drink of choice tonight. Whoo Hooo now just waiting for chat to open. That was all after my power being out for 3 hours. Got the party noise makers, horns and hats ready to go.

I'd love to stop by for the Virtual Party but it's WAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY past my bedtime. My DD6 asked if she can stay up until midnight... I quickly said "Yes" and then set the clock ahead three hours. We'll be celebrating New Year at 9:00 PM EST.

Our power went out soon after sending my last message. It's been incredibly windy and cold. Time Square is going to be frigid this year. Sooooo Roast Beast dinner is now going to be very late. I'll pass on the Yorkshire pudding for chat
