Totally agree. Paypal costs them NOTHING to set up. Paypal costs the payer NOTHING. Is there a Paypal option? I won't even go to the home page anymore to look. I refuse. I am thoroughly disgusted with them and won't have anything more to do with them.

I am speechless.....well almost.

IMO vfk has preyed on the vmk community. They've made empty promises at a time when we are all very gullible and hurting over vmk closing and now think they have ppl where they want them and ZZZZZZ like a bug zapper its time to pay.

How can they even consider asking for monies when there are so many guest names, friend list dont work, no map, how many got their beta shirt yet even? The game is not even ready to leave beta let alone charge even one cent. Yea yea you can still play free basic big deal.

Someone talk some sense in to these little dudes that are beggin for money from their parents. Donate to charity rofl, yea the vfk charity lol.

How sad.
Dont mean to offend those who enjoy the game, again its just my 2 cents worth (I'll gladly donate that to your favorite charity).

All the real items are unnecessary, I don't think many people want to watch a behind the scenes film on VFK (I would be, however, be interested in a VMK behind the scenes DVD), a "founder's" pin, A TOTE BAG?? A COMIC BOOK??

Hi,

Ok I did some question asking.I will start off by saying I take what staff say with a grain of salt. They do not always know what is going on. With that said I am going to VMK_Surfer on the hot seat here. She has been on for many hours tonight in a room helping people get their titles and answering questions. I hate to bother them but today's developments i could not help my self. So first thing I asked her was who gets the hats? Do just the founding member or the family members to. Her asnswer:

Next I asked her if you can be in more then 1 family? Her answer to me was:

The the last question and this one surprised me. If i am added to 2 families do I get a hat from each family? Her answer:

So this is my personal take on this. If this is all true there could be a crap load of hats out there
up to 20 people per paying member get hats and you can be in many family's getting many hats. They will be everywhere.

Once again remember to take this for what its worth. I did the screen shots as proof incase this info is wrong someone will see this is what we were told.

I love Firefox because you have the option of saving web pages complete with their accompanying support docs.

One thing I found of interest is that this is the clearinghouse they are using for their payments: http://www.esecpayments.com.au/index.jsp

So, uhm, does that mean on top of the exorbitant amount being charged for something that could have been done better by a DeVry first semester gaming student, are we going to get hit with fees from our VISA companies?

So we have a New Mexico company, doing business out of New Jersey with a Credit Card processing clearinghouse based in Australia..... Oo I'm so using this as a the bases of a book if Dan Brown doesn't beat me to it.... "The Delusional Code".

The appropriate color kool-aid would be pink to match my couch.

Exactly. The problem is that all the kids that still believe VFK is the second coming want their parents to buy the packages. I really would love to see a lawsuit erupt should this be a scam.

Heck, quite a few people championed VFK as the best thing since canned bread right here on the Disboards.

Okay, I have to say this.

This is one part of the package deal that I really appreciate and would like to give them credit for offering. Having been a former fundraising coordinator for a charity, this is a very nice thing to include (which they don't have to)and I hope EVERY person who decides to get a membership asks for their 10% donation to go to a charity. Every penny adds up for non-profit organizations.

I'm all for donating to charity, but how do we really know anything's been donated? Take them at their word? Sorry, but I simply can't do that. I will donate to the charities that I wish to donate to, not hope that some random game will do that for me.
Noble cause, but I remain skeptical.

As for the $47, it's paying for the T-shirt and the DVD! Its an opening of new doors for beta players!
