Hi,
Ok so this is a kids game and they think 6-10 year olds are going to know what a lark bunting is please....![]()
I have nothing against the VMK Jungle Cruise game. Heck, I'm Ned's biggest fan. But if I was going to choose one of VMK's games to copy, I don't think I would have started with that one.
I give the folks at VFK an "A" for the effort. But, their MMO still has a long way to go.![]()
Also the Fourth of July Game is set for release on no other day than July 4th!
Oops, I think I took a wrong turn...

Isn't that the purpose of having an educating game? So kids learn something??

Sorry, but I'm going off topic for a bit:Why, then, are they driving around in gas guzzling Hummers, that consume fossil fuels and pollute the ozone? How about the fact that those big heavy Hummers leave a path of destruction along those roads, destroying the natural habitat of those birds, animals and plants?
...Bird watching takes patience. Many avid bird watchers sit in trees and shrubs for hours and never catch sight of a bird. ........How about telling kids a little bit about Audubon, who was a real living person? About the National Audubon Society's push for maintaining our natural wildlife, preserving it, not destroying it just for a photo of a bird... THAT would be educational.

Weren't you supposed to be in a Hummer?
I also play on an atv through the trails in the woods. I'm just pointing out that if they want to teach kids about nature, why not also teach them about conservation? If they want vfk to be educational, then maybe they should have thought things through a little before adding this game.Sorry, but I'm going off topic for a bit:![]()

This is in reference to the Hummer....When done right, in the right manner, and with the right respect, there is absolutely nothing wrong with driving a Hummer, Jeep, Land Rover, pickup, atv, motorbike, mountain bike, etc, thru the woods and wilds. In the game, they are driving on an established trail, not blazing a new one, nothing wrong with that. (In fact, there's a lot of fun to be had going out on organized, respectful trail rides.) Tearing thru protected, pristine wildlands, making your trail, however, is a much different story. Sorry, I am avid 4x4 trailriding enthusiast and had to speak up to offer a different opinion! (and don't get me started on the rightto drive a gas guzzler!)
However, I also don't see why they did pick a Hummer...sheesh...why not an open top wrangler from which you can actually SEE the birds!
Yes...much agree with this...many is the time I've gone bird watching from my Jeep! (said in jest!) I think the pace of the game needs to slowed down a little bit...maybe even have a "novice" level that when you click on the right answer, it tells you about the bird (pausing the game in the process)...I'm learning nothing from the drawings! They could replace the Hummer with your character walking a preset path on it's own...picking up water (in non-degradable plastic bottles!) on the way...
