We're off tomorrow :cheer2: and was a bit dubious about using the online check-in, but needed to make sure that we got all 5 seats together. I clicked the button the minute after the 24hour before mark. It was so easy! :rotfl:
You just have to put in your booking reference number (which we got from a virgin rep on the phone) and then put all the passport details through. It then automatically gave us 5 seats together in a great location - right in front of the exit, galley and toilets! What more could you ask for with 3 kids!
We've got row 23 which is at the front of the plane - this row, instead of being 3, 4, 3 is just a 4 and 3 row (if you get my meaning!). The main blocks of seats (looking at the plan there's 3) are all behind - so we are quite literally at the front. There only appears to be 3 rows of seats in the section we're in - I hope the plan is correct! :scratchin
Roll on tomorrow, I'm so excited that my stomach is flipping over all the time and I hardly got any sleep last night! :hyper: Tonight will be shorter sleep as the transport is picking us up between 5 - 5.30am for the 10.25 flight from Manchester! :jumping1:

The location of these seats is good but I have a feeling they don't recline. Also, (I'm not trying to put a dampener on things) you may get people queuing for the loo there. Saying that though, if these seats are where I think they are, you're just in front of the main "bulk" of the plane so its likely to be less noisy.

have a super time. Thanks for letting us know about on-line check in. I might try it when we go next year.

Do you mean that these are exit-row seats then?

If they are right by the exit then the chances are that they are not facing the exit, but rather away from it (ie, you'll have your back to the exit), and so the main block of seats might be right in front of you (rather than behind). I say this because they will only assign exit-row seats at an airport check-in because they have to see if you're physically fit enough to cope if there was an emergency.

Either way, you're off tomorrow!

That sounds so easy....we will be using online checkin for our trip in Dec.

Have a lovely holiday:wave2:

Hi Sheila,
we're on that flight too :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
Booked on-line and all seemed to go well, seat allocation could have been better but with 8 of us we can't complain!!
Have a great Holiday

Lisland - Have a great holiday too! :cloud9: And to anyone else on the same flight! :wave2:
It was alot easier than I thought! All we have to do now is go to the DIY check-in desk and collect the boarding passes and check the luggage in. We needn't have had to get to the airport as early as the desk closes 60 minutes prior to flight, but we've got free transport which the travel agent gave us as part of the package (saves on parking charges!)
Just to clarify - they are the last row of seats - right in front of the toilet and Galley. The exits are the other side of the toilet - there are 2 more toilets in front of the 6 rows in our block. Looking at the plan though - the block is directly behind the 1st class passengers. I doubt very much if we'll have the same seats on return, so not too bothered if they don't recline much on the way out. Far too excited to sleep anyhow!!!!!
At least with the seats being near the front, we'll get off the plane quicker too!
