Virgin Upper Class seating

What fare code are your tickets? (J? D? Z?) Or have you paid for the Virgin Chauffeur Service seperately with airmiles?

Alice

Alice, how would you go about doing this?

Hi, sorry, I wasn't too clear on my original post. It applies to Flying Club Members using airmiles to purchase/upgrade to Upper Class. At 10k miles per single journey, it isn't really cost effective anyway - but am sure some people use it.

Alice

4.2.5 Members exchanging miles for an Upper Class reward ticket or upgrade are not entitled to complimentary ground transfers. However, members may spend an additional 10,000 miles for a single journey in conjunction with the purchase of an Upper Class reward ticket in the UK, USA or South Africa either to or from the airport. Please note that members must be redeeming Flying Club miles for their Upper Class reward ticket in order to be able to redeem Flying Club miles for a chauffeur-driven car transfer.

Hi

Does anybody know about the Virgin chauffeur service. I understand the UK side for going to Gatwick - they pick you up but that's all I know. I know they will pick us up from Orlando and take us to OKW, then pick us up from OKW and take us to orlando airport and then pick us up at Gatwick and take us home.

What I want to know is:

Where do they drop you off at orlando airport
Where do you meet the driver at Gatwick to take you home

Thanks muchly
Tina

Tina,
At Orlando, they drop you off at the Departures terminal outside the nearest entrance to the Virgin desks.

At gatwick we use the revival lounge so we normally if using the limo, get them to pick us up there. You tell them where you want picking up, i.e. after security and baggage claim in the main concourse.

Food looks scrumpitious, mouth was watering when looking at the pics!!! (how sad am I???) don't answer that.

the little salt and pepper pots are cute as well :cool1:

oh hopefully some day

OMG, I just went on this website...it is totally awesome! They even have a retail cart, with this REALLY CUTE little bear! I think I'd pay for the UC seats just to buy the little guy! (he's under V fun, on the retail therapy page: Russ Berrie Little Lost Bear)

Upper Class is fantastic, we sampled its delights on a trip to Chicago from LHR last month, we loved the dedicated security channel and the London Heathrow Clubhouse is awesome, such a fab treat.

We are also off to Miami in August Upper from Heathrow too, My DD cant wait for a treatment, my sons not really bothered just wants to chill.

Hiya,

We flew UC for the first time in Jan this year - Manchester to Orlando with Virgin. The whole experience was out of this world. We were treated like royalty princess: I was trying so hard to act like I was taking it all in my stride but I felt like jumping for joy throughout :lmao:

We always said it was a one off as my parents came with us and it was supposed to be a 'holiday of a lifetime' but I'm afraid that it is true to say, there is no going back.

We are now thinking of going UC again in Feb 09, I get butterflies just thinking about it :rotfl: Sad or what? :rotfl:

Outbound we had seat 6A, 6K, 7A, 7K, and 8A, so the whole of the nose of the plane really. Seats were perfect for us, plenty of privacy and space on the floor in just 'our area' for our LO's to play. On the way home, 6A & 6K were already taken but towards the front of the plane away from the bar is definately best if you fancy a sleep.

The whole experience was just wonderful :worship:

Ali :goodvibes

I can only agree with you Ali:worship: :cool1:

It is such a great way to travel, before we took the leap from PE to Upper, i always thought of Upper as seclusion, and basically had a very dim view, however i was soon to learn that Upper is superb, the before and after (LHR Clubhouse & Revivals are superb).

The bar is just a must isnt it, on our last flight we had 3 seats at the bar, however on our Miami flights its a 747 as opposed to a Airbus so we have 5:banana: seats, cant wait.

Roll on

lovely pics, might go UC when we go to Australia have to check though as cant go upstairs

:cloud9:

Lovin the photo's personally my fav suite is 8a/k to 9a/k, just enough space and not too close to the bar, if you go for 6a/k make sure you get on first to bag an overhead locker.

And OBI the force may be strong but Darth was the master of cool:rotfl: the dark side rocks.

spare a thought for all us moo's in cattle class, v jealous looks fantastic, hope 6a has enough jogging space!!!!!!!!
