Can someone explain the differences with virgin booking classes for upper class?

I understand if i book using the Upper Class (Lowest) (booking class Z?) option then the chauffeur driven car is not available? but is anything else not available (other than being able to change details) with the lowest option that is available on the full price Flexible classes?

Upper Class (Lowest) seemed to be perfect for our honeymoon trip - but then i read that the chauffeur car isnt available with that class so im worried we'll get to the airport to find other things we expected to not be included?

Thanks!

We flew Z class with Virgin in 2006 and are doing so again in June. The car seems to be the only difference. You still get to use the lounge, you still get your free beauty treatment and once on the plane there is no difference at all.

The only thing we didnt get was fast track and that was nothing to do with the class we were flying - we used the wrong door :rolleyes1

We felt like kings - it was great :thumbsup2

Z class is highly restricted in terms of changes and cancellation, but other than the lack of chauffeur driven car and drive-through check-in, you shouldn't notice any other differences.

As others have said, with Z you don't get the limo or drive-thru check-in, but everything else is exactly the same. You won't get a lesser service!

If you see a G fare then you can pay miles (12,500?) to add the limo transfer to your booking. Personally though, Z is fine if you do not need date flexibility.

Hiya,

We flew UC 'lowest Z' last month from Manchester.

I was under the impression that changes and/or refunds were not permitted ie if you wanted to change your details a name on the booking or date of flight etc that you would incur the full price difference between booking at 'z class' and booking a 'flexible' ticket.... Well the lady I booked with on the telephone said something along those lines and mentioned a £16k price difference :scared1: :scared1:

We went ahead and booked in the 'hope' that any problems would be covered by our travel insurance one way or another :confused3

Anyhow, let me add that in my humble opinion it was worth every single penny, we felt like royalty princess: The whole UC experience was out of this world :goodvibes

Hi,
you could also try upgrading a VH flydrive, we have have found this to be excellent value in the past.

If you can get a "Z" fare I would bagh it for yourself, there are not many of them on each flight especially the 747 routes, a round trip "Z" can be as little as £1400 whereas a J is about £6K.

A "G" is a reward flight for miles and rare indeed on holiday routes.
